Warburton and weir are clearly out their depth at this level. I have been saying that since the end of last season. Warburton is a good championship manager at best. Poor signings shocking defensively cannot defend set pieces outfought against hearts at tynecastle and other games senderos tavernier at right back rob kiernan. The list of failings could go on and on

We outfought and out played hearts and Aberdeen at Ibrox. Why don't you mention that. This site should be renamed Rangersmoaners. co. uk

It's easy to sit and moan about everything - most of them are living in LaLa land dreaming about past glories.

I haven't seen any of them come up with a sensible, workable or feasible plan that would improve our situation in the short term.

To suggest that DK and the other board members are not exploring every avenue to sort out the mess (financial, Ashley and the other shareholders) and therefore improve the on pitch situation is a joke.

Thee is no money to be got until the shareholding and court issues are resolved.

5 year plan, building from the bottom to ensure a secure footing for the future. that's what they promised and it appears to me that we are on track.

Steviec your saying mw and dw are out of there depth. They're sitting second in lge. You honestly didn't expect us to win lge this year so what more can they do.

What are you talking about a 5 year plan is on schedule? Where is your evidence of this? People are on here to express their opinions and it seems that there are some people who can't take it when the team or manager are criticised. Think most peoples gripe with DK is that he promised to put £30m in and there would be more clarity from the boardroom so far this hasn't happened. It also doesn't help when he is so far away. Can't remember anyone on here having a go about the board not trying to get fresh investment and if it hadn't been for a ex manager the board would have been able to get further investmebt

If there is a five year plan when did it kick in? Was this 18 months ago? If so then I would suggest that Warburton is progressing relatively well considering that he has had little of the promised investment from King and he has been unlucky with injuries to what would have been potentially key players, (Rossiter, WIndass and Krancjar), and possibly even Crooks.

We have to assume that when he initially brought in players, having taken the poison chalice of totally rebuilding a Rangers team that had been totally destroyed by McCoist and McDowall that many of those players arriving were seen as short term, capable of taking us to the Premier League but no further. The afore mentioned were surely assumed to be capable taking us to the next level with players like Holt and Halliday having to settle for a squad role or moving on.

Alas the injuries scuppered this!

I have not included Barton because I am not convinced that Barton was a Warburton signing, more likely he was a King signing, ( a relatively inexpensive way of making a marquee signing but a risk that ultimately failed)!

The end of this season will be a good time to make a more informed decision as to whether matters are moving in the right direction. In the case of the manager he needs to deliver second place and secure a good cup run. Yes, he could do with one or two more signings, especially is Rossiter is to be out of action after the winter shutdown, but he can only do this with funding being made available.

As for King, he has made promises that personal investment will be made available to support Warburton should we secure European Football. That is the time to judge him. In the interim, we just need to live in hope that some of players start performing with their feet as well as they perform with their mouth!

One final point and it was well put by Stewie25, if it hadn't been for an ex-manager, (and we all know who that was), the Board would have been in a position to secure further investment!

Bottom line is we are no better a team this season than we were last season. Who's fault is that. No one expected us to challenge but we wanted signs of improvement on the field.

What is the 5 year plan? To sort out our shocking defense in 5 years. To stop playing Halliday in DM after 5 years?

There have been a lot of mistakes made this season by the management because of shear stubbornness and burying our heads in the sand and saying how bad we were a few seasons back is not going to help.

Please stop saying we are currently 2nd! The sheep have a game in hand and can go above us on a fraction of our budget. Will it still be so rosey if they win their game in hand and we're actually 3rd?

@stewie25 - I'm talking about the continual moaning about individual results rather than take the season as a whole. We are currently 2nd behind a Celtic side that is miles better than the rest of us. Can anyone hand on heart say they expected us to be competing for the title this season? Yes the points gap isn't good enough but we have something to build on rather than listen to Walter Smith etc saying we need to gamble financially to compete. Look where the scatter cash attitude has gotten us before. We don't have a God given right to win every game and as fans we sometimes expect to much. Let's be realistic and evaluate at the end of the season.

Lets get this going here to all the constant negative posters on here, who can't see, or to put it another way, don't want to see where we are as a football club right now! None of us likes where we are just now but its going to take TIME to fully rebuild our football club (several years)! We've no investment coming in just now and until this DK V MA fight is resolved then we are not going to get major investment! A message to the constant moaning supporters, ie. 'the warburton out campaigners', who do you want to replace warburton as the new rangers manager? Being realistic and remembering there's next to no money to spend? Someone mentioned it above! Stop living on past glories and start supporting the rebuild of our full club to get back to achieving new glories! Just like we once had before!

Steviec, stewie25,one of you saying warbs and weir are out their depth which imo is utter tosh! The other one of you saying about when this 5 year plan is about to start! There isn't one of you, who is privy in knowing what work is being done, within our youth academy, for the great benefit of our club, in the future, me included! Systems being put in place all the way through, changing our youth players, ie. letting players go that don't fit their philosophy and style and replacing them with youth players that they think will fit their style, with developing them! Doing all this of course is going to take time (ie. the 5 year plan etc), hopefully sooner! Just look at southampton's youth academy now! They done exactly what warbs, weir, mulholland, murty and mcparland are doing now and its now regarded one of the very best youth development academies in europe, FACT!

Warburton has often stated this and uses the Southampton academy as his example! There's without question a helluva lot of hard work being done behind the scenes, that we're not seeing just now, but will in the wholeness of time! I've said it on here before and i'll say it again. We all as 'gers fans, WON'T see the full extent of warburton's work, to once he's probably left our club! The next manager that follows warburton at ibrox will be left a football club (in the playing side), in a very healthy state, and an infrastructure to be proud of, with the hard work over the several years, that our management team and our academy coaches, have put in! Our next manager will come into a club that's modern and totally rebuilt, ALL the way through. He will bear the fruits of warburton's hard labour! TIME my friends, especially where we've been and come from! At least try and understand stand what my post is saying!
