Feel sorry for the boy Gilmour, he's obviously a great talent if clubs as big as Chelsea, man Utd etc are looking at him.
But, he'd be daft not to be interested in these sort of offers because at the end of the day everyone wants to play at the top level with the best players in the best competitions. And the small fact he'll be earning £10,000 a week which is big money for a 16 year old.
The only thing I would say to him is look at the likes of Danny Wilson, Islam Feruz these guys jumped at the chance to move down south early on in there careers and have they turned out to become the players they thought they'd be? No.
The best way to develop for him would be stay at Rangers, potentially go out on loan for a season or two and then if he's good enough feed him into the first team. As much as I can't stand them, look accross the city and look at Teirney, he's good enough for the first team and is one of the most promising left backs in the world.

Hope the boy see's sense and decides to stay for a while.

What's everyone elses thoughts?

If he is16 and good enough why on earth would he go out on loan from Rangers. Surely he should go straight into the first team just as Derek Johnstone did as a 16 year old. It is not as if we are full of super stars in our current midfield!

Granted, but it's changed days now. I'm pretty sure he won't be good enough just yet, so i'd prefer to see him get regular first team football in the lower leagues. Besides it would put a few hairs on his chest.

For me football is almost finished, it's more of a business now than ever, with players only interested in the money and not the glamour of winning trophies. We have the EPL and Sky to thank for that as well as other matters. Now that China are going bonkers the arse is falling out of it all. I hope the lad stays for the right reasons and wants to become a footballer not worry about his pension.
