Surely if we let o'halloran out to hearts on loan then we will insert a clause that means he won't play against his parent club. This is the norm, look at his last year. If they ended up playing the tinks in the sc final then henderson and stokes wouldn't have played.

It would be idiotic to allow O'Halloran to go to Hearts even with a clause prohibiting him from playing against us

Why would we let a player go to a club who are also challenging for 2nd place in the league?

it's just another day in the life of being a rangers fan at the moment copland1 and yet another weird decision by our management team

If he goes to Hearts on loan and plays well, it can work in our favour too. He might flourish there and return a better player. Or flourish and his asking price might go up. There are positives to it if you are prepared to look for them. He isn't getting game time with us, I can definitely see it being a positive. Personally, I don't think he is getting utilised properly in our set up, we may just see another dimension to his game. It is not all doom and gloom with Rangers.

He'll struggle to get a game at hearts anaw

Management team? we don't have one.

We have 1 guy that thinks we don't need defenders and that Garner is a top class striker that he wasted £1.8 mil on.
Another guy (Weir) that thinks a £100 mil wouldn't be enough to challenge for the SPL.
What planet are these 2 on .

I am just glad we don't have £100m to give them.

Has it never occurred to you that if he flourishes Hearts may finish above us? Also I doubt very much we will get the money back we paid for him or he will come back and challenge for a first team spot next season. It's clear the manager doesn't fancy him and the only reason they want to put him on loan is that no one would pay anywhere near £500k to buy him

Stewie, I am trying to see it from a balanced view. I was simply pointing out that it need not necessarily be a negative move. He might be a complete flop with Hearts too, but they will pay his wages for that.

It need not be a negative so long as we have a team that can finish second. Unfortunately there is no guarantee of that. Hearts have strengthened during the winter close down and while, in theory so have we, we have done absolutely nothing to sort out our defensive midfield or our lack of a goalscorer! If MOH goes on loan, good luck to him. Our current management team quite clearly has their favourites and he is not one of them!

They will pay a portion of his wages. Anyone with any sense wouldn't help out a rival it makes no sense and can bring an added pressure to a manager currently under pressure.

He didn't say that gosman? He said that 100 million doesn't buy success and he is right.

Ok Stewie, life is black and white only. Personally I would rather he was in the team and playing well. Just agree to disagree. I have tried explaining why it could be a positive. Leave it at that.

Cee, once again you are wrong. Buying success did not come into it.

Weir stated that £100 million might not be enough to close the gap on the Dims so i repeat, what planet is he on?

Why take the chance though as it could work out bad for us. I'm not disagreeing about sending him on loan but not to Hearts. I agree with you he hasn't been given a chance and utilised properly. Why would a manager who is under pressure potentially invite even more pressure by loaning a player to our rivals for a European spot? It's not beyond possibility that he could go there play well and they could end up beating us to the last European spot? Your right potentially there could be positIves but is it really worth the risk?

If true, then it must be a deal sweetener for one of hearts players. Maybe the boy nicholson.

well to be fair who he goes to isn't down to warbs he will have been asked if its okay to loan the player out and said yes to whom I think is up to people above him
