See if rossiter was fit and we get oxford, rossiter and hyndman in midfield would be quality. great engines in the 3 of them. halliday was dreadful today passing was poor and big kiernan for me his distrabution is terrible he puts people in danger with his passes if he manages to keep them in the pitch that is.

I am big critic of keirnan but thought he had his best game in a blue jersey today. He cleared his lines when he had too his passing isn't the best but he should defend first and foremost.

Jaws

I lost count of the number of times Kiernan gave away possession, he was lucky not to see red for a stupid challenge and the sitter that McDonald missed in the first half was down to Kiernan not marking him similar to what happened with the Motherwell goal last week. Kiernan is rank rotten

Kiernan is hopeless. Been at fault countless times and today. Canny string two passes together. Accident waiting to happen

Listen guys his passing is bad and I've been on big keirnans back all season but I thought he defended better today. The macdonald sitter was down to Wallace getting caught upfield imo.

Agree with posts above a good holding midfielder a good centre half and a good left back Wallace not a great defender and escapes all the that tav gets

Why did warbs sign senderos? even when Kiernan and Wilson play rubbish senderos still doesn't get a game and he's on a good wage. disny make sense

The sitter mcdonald missed was due to wallace not stopping the cross.

Who was supposed to be marking McDonald?

I couldn't agree more with Kiernan - he can be a frustrating nightmare
For me the signing we need to get in is Oxford as he can play deep in midfield and at centre half
Add to that Kyle Bartley on a pre contract
While we are at it add Jak Alnwick as looks a good prospect with potential sell on and 250k might be a snip
I would take Moult from Motherwell as he's a good option for up front as well
Not much of a chance getting all of these guys I know but I for one would be a happy man (at least until the summer)
I'm still hopeful that with a wee bit of patience Rossiter and Garner will come good

If a bid came in for Kiernan I would take it even if it was Monopoly money

A know wallace got caught out when mcdonald missed that sitter but surely as the holding midfielder halliday should have dropped in to cover him but instead halliday was caught in no mans land again what yous think about holt bears cracking wee player but a just feel he's no strong enough at times in a physical match looks like hyndman could keep him out the team

Jaws, you say Wallace was caught upfield, maybe he was, but it is up to someone from the midfield to cover for him, but then they don't have a football brain to do this. Secondly, it is been said many times on here that Tavernier and Wallace get dragged inside, when the 2 CB's get drawn to one side or the other, it is up to the full backs to come in and cover for them. OK it leaves the wide man free, but better than leaving a player free in the box.

I agree keirnans next mistake is never far away and he's not the answer but thought he had a steadier game yesterday apart from his passing.

I see you haven't been able to answer who was supppsed to be marking McDonald, as for your ridiculous view that it was down to Wallace for not stopping the cross. Could you name me a full back who has stopped every cross into the box?

Wallace was at fault just as he was partly at fault for the goal that Motherwell scored in the cup but wee in week out we are generally critical of the holding midfield and I would have thought that the majority would want to see Halliday replaced. We saw the difference that Hyndman made yesterday when he replaced Holt and personally I suspect that we would see the same benefits both defensively and in building attacks if we had a quality holding midfield player rather than Halliday!
