Could you imagine the reaction of Bears fans if this team was sitting fifth or six in the league ATM.

Amazing the reaction after two poor results, given the fact for that most of this season we've been second, admittedly competing tooth and nail with Aberdeen. But second nonetheless.

The way the team capitulated against Hearts in the two games at Tyncastle was completely unacceptable, and the way some ndividuals sold the shirt against Celtic at Parkhead was beyond a joke, but three 90 mins in the season is a necessary evil for where we have to be.

Cannot 100% cannot turn into 90s era Celtic, changing managers left right and centre. Absolutely must stick to our guns no matter how tough the last few months of this season gets.

Comfortably second and Scraping second, not much difference between two if you're being pragmatic.

We'd honestly be willing to shove MW out the door because of one abysmal transfer window.
All your favourite managers have had transfer windows where signings completed didn't work out but MW has signed Toral and Hyndman in January and both have added significantly already. Hyndman more so of course.

For those who say what's MW done to deserve credit. He stablised the club last year and his brand or style of football was a winning style throughout most of last season.

This fan is willing to give MW and his team a little more time, until the end of the season to get that winning mentality back. Not jumping on that sack MW band wagon just yet.

Constantly torn between this exact viewpoint and the fear that accepting second best becomes habitual.

Its deeper than that thorn! Its signing too many similar style midfield players, signing garner and then using him on point of our attack when its clear to anyone he needs a partner as a front two! Its raving about capturing the signing of dodoo and not playing him when we can't score goals its a lack of fitness in some players and the same mistakes that could be coached out of their game! Its sticking with the same guys and tactics regardless of opposition its getting hung up on balancing the CBS ie wilson and hill both favour the left hand side of the pairing so they rarely play in same team! Its crooks going on loan after one start out of position its his team looking out of ideas and without a leader when they lose a goal! Its the fact I can't actually remember the last time I was impressed with the teams performance win lose or draw and the fact that we get bullied all over the pitch most weeks! Everyone can see the man is struggling he doesn't like the way the media work in this country and he's struggling to take criticism! he's a good guy with good ideas about promoting the game and imo his future in football lies in developing at grass roots level, definitely not at a club like ours where expectations are so high

If mw had played same team as wed fair enough but he dropped the players that we all wanted dropped and yet the people that were shouting for the changes he made to team have still got the knives out. i'm not happy we dropped more points but mw has been accused of being too stubborn to change yet when he does what all the champ managers on here want you're still not happy.

1st time post. I think the Rangers job just now would challenge the best managers in world football.
Very difficult to accept 2nd and current results but remember we have just had 2 seasons in championship. Celtic have a settled team. To finish 2nd would be the 1st part of step to challenging Celtic next season. I think we all need to be realistic.

Thorn

Maybe it's escaped your notice but Warburton has failed to beat Ross County 3 times, St Johnstone twice and Hamilton at home. They are hardly the cream of Scottish football and I think you might find we have a budget that's probably 10 times what they do. 12 wins out of 24 in a second rate league. The worst goal difference of all the top 4 sides with no real strikers or centre halves. Maybe that's ok for you but some of us expect a lot better and recognise that this manager isn't the answer

True but some results and displays have been unacceptable, the kind of dross results v teams we should be beating and this has constantly haunted Rangers through history. We're surprised but not surprised by these results.
We knew we wouldn't catch Celtic and would have struggles v Aberdeen and Hearts but a large batch of the results have been disappointing.

"both added significantly already" by beating Motherwell, getting skelped of Hearts and drawing with Ross County at home!? Please define significantly

Ger4life comedy gold mate u just keep giving lol. You say be realistic then say challenge celtic next season. Cudnt make it up.
You will lose Hyndman/ Toral at end of season, Miller, Hill will be a year older you will have no money for players except loans and frees yet u will challenge us.
Have u forgot the money we have and will be spent on better players, yet your manager can't get 1 decent player to improve your team.
Your top goalscorer is on 6 goals and he 37, as for the line manager could improve us, what total nonsense.
BR has come in and totally transformed us with practically the same players.

Joscro

You know it's only been in the last 2-3 months where people have been coming on here and saying they knew we weren't going to challenge Celtic. Quite a few just before the season began we giving it large about us being back in the league and giving them a challenge. The manager is also quoted as saying 2nd is nowhere for Rangers but he seems to have changed his tune too

Sorry guys . I have stuck by him until now . Bottom line in no improvement. No improvement. No improvement. Its getting worse . We have kept our heads just above water but now drowning fast . Time for change the sooner the better . If i could see some light, then i would stick by him but there's not . Its not gona change .

Bmf: I agree, it comes to a point with every manager at some point, do you stick or twist, how long can you hold off, that's the question.

Stewie.

I agree with your post and what you say certainly hasn't escaped my notice. The three games against Ross County cost us six points and we should be winning every game at Ibrox in style, but St Johnstone are a decent outfit under Tommy Wright and Hamilton at home, we finished that game with 10 players on the pitch because of the Waghorn injury.

But let's be honest here, it's our first season back, were up against the cup final aspect when teams visit our ground and we've played a large chunk of this season with a team that was assembled to win Scotland's second tier.

Budget is important, no one argues with this, but when you consider this is a first year back, first year in the top flight playing for Rangers for most if not all of the starting line up, apart from Wilson, Miller, Wallace, and the manager isn't used to managing a team in a competitive division where there expected to finish a strong second, get Europe and have every team gunning for your throat, it'll take time to get used to.

Whether we like to believe it or not, Hearts, St Johnstone and Aberdeen are decent teams and finishing second ahead of this group would be one heck of an achievement given where the team was when MW took over.

Jaws, yes he changed a couple of personnel today, then ruined what might have been a good move by pulling our most exciting attacking midfielder back to play as a defensive midfielder. Anybody who isn't blind would have dropped Halliday and Kiernan (but maybe not Waghorn) but they would never have made the massive blunder of moving Hyndman back.

That sums up everything that's wrong with Warburton, his poor tactical decisions, lack of ability (Or stubborness) to change things round, predetermined substitutions (like a kid on Champ Manager, the thing you accuse your fellow fans of being), his lack of either motivation or inspiration. He needs to be removed and soon or we will struggle for third place here.

There are no decent teams in this league, It's not even 2nd rate! In Europe our teams gave been beaten by teams from Gibraltar and Malta! Decent teams! lol do me a favour mate
