Has anybody got an idea what kind of experience this Portuguese guy has, his name keeps popping up and with only 4 months on his contract won't cost a penny, does he know the scottish/ english game or are we chancing it and that's a dof is getting brought in, hey if he knows mourinho we might get a couple of half decent loans out of it lol
P. s though to hyndman what a player cracking prospect and if any chance came up to keep him ill be all over it.

Seems to have been good in South America, according to Wiki, winning 3 major trophies and reaching the final of their equivalent of our champions league. Looks like he was decent in Portugal before that too.

Apparently we were after him before we signed Warburton, He plays a 4-2-3-1 formation (unsure if this is the formation he is using out in Qatar)

Dont like the sound of it at all, he doesn't have experience managing big teams although he has been assistant at a few, he's managing a Qatari team just now for god sake! Unless its Frank De Boer I don't think we should be going for foreign managers, I fear another Paul Le Guen incident.

Trueblue, I reckon the Qatari teams could come over here and wipe the floor with most of the teams in our league.

quatari team would wipe the floor with us and have vast amounts of money to spend.

but they won't be used as stepping stone to the epl as we can be so that's the attraction for him and i think he will maybe stay here 3 seasons tops before he leaves but with a director of football in place it won't be as big a deal replacing head coach as it would replacing a whole management team
