Seemingly Caxinha's club have rubbished claims he's met with Rangers for the manager role. He was in Qatar yesterday to take charge of a game which in itself doesn't say much as he could have flown back to Qatar on Tuesday evening after being interviewed.

Also, media reporting Wilson has asked for more time to consider move to Rangers. If he's not jumping at the chance to come to us then I doubt his commitment if he does decide to come and would have him as a short term flight risk. From the beginning I preferred Mitchell of Tottenham as he was more responsible for Southampton's current setup than Wilson who is getting credit for someone else's work and imo has made poor signings for Southampton since joining them.

its beginning to look like our directors are backing the wrong horses here and are in danger making a huge mistake. Why can't they act like normal people for once and forget the DOF role for now and get big Eck in to steady the ship. and if he gets us 2nd or 3rd then give him the bloody job permanently!

He was probably told a figure he could live with then thr next meeting that he was supposed to sign on the dotted line they let him know that's over the next few years and he has changed his mind.
Thats just my thinking
