The big thing I noticed today was our effectiveness and movement at corners. What a change.

Hamilton were poor defensively but we did try to mix it up which was refreshing to see! Although it should have happened all season

We were more direct in general, Bluegenius, and as I've said so many times before, the stats that Warburton was so fond of were actually his problem. His possession stats were through the roof but with no end product. Now the possession stat is falling game by game because we're having more shots, more crosses, which create goals but naturally lead to less possession. Possession is totally meaningless. Goals count, nothing else.

I was glad that Toral put in a great second half performance, but the midfield is also a HUGE area of concern. As much as i hate to say this, Broonie is going to bully them off the ball with ease. For me we have to put Halliday in for Holt against the tic for that little extra steel. I know he has been playing really crap recently. But i believe if you have both him and Toral offering protection the to defense and then Hyndman or Forrester offering the spark, we could get a result

I wouldn't have Halliday anywhere near the team. Holt is not the answer for next season but he is young enough to improve. Halliday is a waste of a jersey, has a chip on his shoulder and will hopefully not be seen again in a Rangers jersey unless there is a fundamental change of attitude.

Hey TOMUSA - i get your point, although I don't know where you have got the whole 'chip on shoulder' situation. He hasn't been playing well, but he has been playing out of position which has been obvious. Toral is also being deployed in that role right now, but with the mid 3 of Toral, Hyndman (who are 21 and 20 respectively) and the pint sized holt, We would be overrun in a heartbeat and kenny would be spending most of his time in the mid trying to dig in and help out. Halliday offers a little more bite and can offer a 'little' more experience in the middle of the park.

I agree with you Teddy that if our midfield tries to battle it out with Brown we will lose but I also agree with TOMUSA in that Halliday is not the answer. He has played dreadfully for most of the season and was totally outplayed by Brown when we've played them this season. I'd stick with the current three but put Tav in with them and Hodson in at RB) . I'd also put McKay in midfield with them and Miller up front on his own. We're away to them so defend for our lives (nearly impossible for us I know! ) and either sneak a draw or a lucky win. If we try to match them reckon we"ll get hammered
