I can understand people who want to see a clear sense of direction from the board, appointing a manager etc.

However, on the manager; what is the rush? If we signed a guy tomorrow and he failed then people will be shouting about rushing into it and making poor decisions.

What is the saying about pleasing all of the people some of the time?

I am personally happy to see the team winning with Murty, (although I thought he couldn't cut it) he seems to be able to get a positive response from certain players.

It's just my opinion and I respect those who just want a name now because part of me also wants that, I just wouldn't want the wrong name again.

I think the difference nowadays is that our Club are having to work harder to attract the calibre of manager the fans expect and are used to having. You would never have imagined in the past someone would turn us down in favour of Southampton for example. The board haven't exactly been shouting from the rooftops. I think they are being a bit more coy, ensuring that whatever decisions are made are the right ones. At least I hope that is the case.

Really pleased with job Murty doing in the short term and at first thought give him the season, but if we do qualify for Europe new manager would only have a few weeks to sort squad. Don't want a knee-jerk appointment but need someone in soon to assess the squad and begin to prepare for next season now.
