What about Allan McGregor at the end of the season. He is on loan at Cardiff or Swansea from Hull. Was a very good keeper and if the knee is ok he could do us a turn.
Thoughts guys?

Jaws

Totally agree mate this deserter should not be allowed anywhere near Ibrox again. He showed his true colours when he jumped ship.

oh please do shut up you are like petulant children honestly.

the guy is a deserter because he didn't want to play in the lower leagues?

naw mate i am rangers through and through but i would have left aswell after spending my whole life trying my hardest to play at the highest level in the game just to lose my best years toiling in the lower leagues of scottish football for a quarter of the pay i was on, no chance.
i would have liked it if we could have got money for them but the truth of the matter is we would never have seen a penny of that anyways so holds no baring.

Allan mcgregor, kyle lafferty, stevie naismith, steven whittaker and co made their bed and sure as hell can lie in it! Don't want any of these anywhere near glasgow rangers, ever again!

Behave, he shouldn't be signed because he's 35 and foderingham is a good keeper. If Mcgregor was in his prime we would be lucky to have him.

I would take naismith any day. Take the club that we all love out the equation and put yourself in a normal workplace then make Charlie green, Mike Ashley, Craig white and Stockbridge your gaffer's who'd stay then, me I'd probably be doing time for them right now. At the time I was pissed off with them but their careers are short dropping down and putting up with the dodgy dealings and under handedness that went on you can't blame anyone it doesn't matter what we think they were the ones who had to work there. We can support take pride in the achievements and as much as we feel we won this and that realistically we are bystanders that cheer on and the players are the winners they give us leagues and cups which we take credit for so we should cut them sone slack when it goes Tits up due to financial irregularities and bad management and not the bad form of those players who had played their hearts out gave us league titles when we couldn't afford to buy any new players and had a first team squad of 14 they boys produced. Supercooper 11 like you I supported the last management even when it hurt me and I knew it was gone I supported because I love this club and I believe we stand by our own so those players you don't want back won in my eyes are one of our own unless you have a few league winners medals at home we don't know about it was them not the supporters that won titles and took us to cup finals, the other day you were slagging King off the guy has stabilised our club I believe in him too and not that long ago you were sticking up for him to as I used to agree with most things you said well could agree with those rumours mate as there was some severe wild arsed rubbish in there, but don't turn all negative when we turn it around we will need quality there and if that quality is someone returning embrace it if they are good enough for us.

James stirling, nobody is saying that allan mcgregor should have been wanting to play for us in the lower leagues! He could have at least stayed and got the club he professes to love (my rectum) a transfer fee, no matter how small a fee it was! They would have still been leaving if they wanted to after all! So my friend i'm also rangers through and through and i would have differed from you if i had the privilege, of playing for glasgow rangers! I would at the very least IF i were to leave at all, wanted to get the club as much of a transfer fee as they could, for me! You james stirling have got a different view on rangers through and through, to me my friend! They deserters couldn't wait to jump from a very special football club, that was very good to them! Try and understand that, will you?

If the club sold them how much would have walked along with all the investment that Charlie Green drummed up and paid himself

I don't hold any grudges against the lads that left. deserters? I disagree, with hindsight I'm sure they probably wish they'd hung about for nominal transfer fees but remember this, any money that came in would've gone to the crooks running our club at the time just like the 21 million we raised in shares and would've disappeared into another black hole.

They were all happy to take huge wage reductions for long enough and helped us win several trophies so I for one hold no grudges.

Doesn't matter Gary, It's the principal of the thing. Do it the right way, same as guys like Bocanegra, Edu, Goiain etc. These guys behaved impeccably

The players from that era are now to old for what we need. However with regards to those who say the players worked hard and couldn't be expected to play in lower divisions.

Firstly i give u juventus. Fair enough they went down one division but if a world class player like del piero can compromise there career i sure players from a third rate country can.

Secondly why not tupe over and earns fees 4 club. Obviously in hindsight money for latter would have went to green et al but that wasnt known at time. At end of the day we need to look to the future.

Find new stars rather than look to yesteryear. Take right back for example. Hutton or Whittaker what would they bring now. Up front, lafferty, wasnt great, always likely to be sent off, boyd been there 4 second spell and failed, naismith. Lpved him as a player but would not go near him. His own stupidity lead to injury that started downfall of that season.

I agree that we should be looking forward to younger hungrier players than those that left us mate.

I just disagree with others that class them as "traitors".

Also with regards to your Juventus comparison, as u say they only went down 1 division and were back fighting for Scudetto's 12 months later. Del Piero, Nedved and Buffon were all in there 30's too so although it was commendable that they stayed, I don't think it is comparable with our situation. I think Parma got put down to Serie C, I'd be interested to hear how many of there assets on the pitch hung about.

I have had my differences of opinion with super cooper however he is spot on with these players. They did desert the club and showed no loyalty at all. No one knew at the time what was going on at the club and these players could have easily negotiated small transfer fees for them to leave the club. They would have still got their moves and they would have left on good terms. They all chose to jump ship and didn't care if the club survived. The audacity of Naismith to hold a press conference and say the club died how can any Rangers fan forgive that?
