I see Matt Crooks has succumbed to a season ending injury at Scunthorpe. Same happened to him last season, he wasn't fit for pre-season and never got going after that though he was never given a proper chance. Looks like the same will happen this summer. Shame for the big guy but have to wonder whether he'll be on his way when fit again?

If he has any ambition he'll turn down scunny and return to us to show pedro what he's all about. We need a big tall defensive midfielder and he could save us a bit of money if he can stay fit.

With that injury I don't think he will have any choice but to return and then prove his fitness again.

Hopefully next season he'll actually be giving a chance then as warburton clearly didn't trust him in there and played halliday instead. He and rossiter will be like two new signings if we ever get them fit.

Does anyone believe that he is the player that some folk on here would want us to believe he is. I for one held great hope for him but to be honest I don't think he is, look at the crap some justified that tav, halliday, holt, Wilson, waghorn, Wallace, foderingham and mackay have taken but they have given more than crookes and who knows some of these guys will have had knocks and played through pain that others would feel the need to go on the treatment table with but they have the balls to put themselves in the firing line, where as crookes and rossiter have done nothing to justify this great hope status to me they could just be more in the Daniel prodan mold. Durrant, mols, nesbit, maclaren all played before and showed courage and determination to get back these guys don't have that as they get too much too young, hopefully I'm proved wrong but it really doesn't seem that way.

Crooks was unlucky with injury last season and it looks like the guy is jinked. Until we see him play we cannot make a fair decision on his ability and he has certainly been playing well while on loan. The guy was never given a chance by Warburton who played Halliday consistently out of position.

No wonder Halliday was rubbish and no wonder Crooks wanted out!

Perhaps we will see an all round better more aggressive team now that Warburton is gone and I wish Crooks every success in making it at Rangers.

I feel gutted for crooks, he was playing well for scunny, the guy has had a torrid time with injuries. this latest injury might rule him out of this pre season again. I would love to see a fully fit mat crooks to see how good or bad he can be.

Matt Crooks looked average anytime he was guven game time. Wont be missed sorry. When fit ship him out. We are Rangers. Sell out crowds all season. We have one team to catch next season.

How can you say when he was given game time, he was played out of position in the one full game he was given by a manager that was not fit for purpose in the SPL.
