i for one think that pc is being very clever. what i see is a manager that is assessing all of his squad looking and what players are able to adapt to certain formations. i would say he is also looking at how our young players can perform under pressure and what is the best systems to play in the league. imo this is our pre season friendlies as the players will only have a couple of weeks off before the euro camp starts. so all the prep work being done to weed out the dross and also to get rid of the players that won't fit into is system and replace them with players that will. this can only be a step forward. ps first season back 2 cup semis qualification for europe and third in the league and most of the stadium improvements and repairs having been carried out all done while continuing to manage our finances in a proper way thus insuring that we don't end up in the same position as a few years ago.

Wow seriously! an actual positive post, that has considered the managers position and goals (Achieve Euro place and clear the squad) rather than being an obsessed 'spend 30mill and fix this king! ' comment. congrats Stewarty I was starting to lose hope on this site.

But Stewarty, you'll never convince the numpties on here who can't see past their own nose.

For them, the next match is more important than next season and when it isn't great they can congratulate themselves for predicting a poor performance

Seem to remember your unwaivering support for Mr Warburton and recall you saying the same things about people who criticised him. Who was the numpty there?

bengy25 read the last part of my post first season back and warb record achivied promotion 1 final 3 semis qualification for euro 3rd in league warb team all on a budget do you know anything about football. how far do your think your season ticket money goes if you have one. sfa will be paying us newly promoted team tv money. no money coming in from sale of players no merchandise money no euro money. warb took us as far as he could however i hold my hands up that he did the dirty on us so excuse me for getting that part of it wrong.

soz bengy25 i thought your post was direct at me not br65 however i think warb did a good job as stated in prevoius post. we played some brill football under him however i feel that his downfall was mainly down to his inability to change is system and also hold my hands up again with some of his signing.

Just watched SSN with Lambert and Nicholas loving saying how far we are behind them and we shouldn't be embarrassed about being third, in fact we should be glad. This is what hurts the most. Would love PC to prove them wrong, but don't think he'll be given time to do it.

One man cannot be judged on inheriting another mans team. Jusdge him on his own assembly. If you buy into all of this negative nonscense then you've been reading one too many Daily Record/ Scottish Sun article. Articles where it's became all the trend to talk about all things Rangers in a negative way, to appeal to the great unwashed masses, keeping is down. Not everything in life is instantaneous or a quick fix.

Nichols isn't saying anything any honestly fan around knows rangers at this moment are a complete shambles. On and off the park. If davie king is accepting we should be 3rd each season the season ticket money should go down to that level. You pay 500 pound to be champions not 3rd. If the expectation levels have dropped so must the season ticket prices.

Good to see a positive post. I agree in the fact giving the young team a run out is to gear them up for next season and to be fair the 3 at the back and barjonas when he came on grew in stature. Think barjonas could be an absolute gem as he is a tidy player. Maybe build a team around him like rangers done with ferguson. Can only see a couple experienced defenders, couple midfielders and a striker coming in. Rest will be a mix of the shite we have and can't get rid of and youth player's

A good post and I agree, PC is playing a shrewd game I hope. Show the money men how far we are behind Celtic, and now using these games as almost preseason for some. I think he already has 3 or 4 lined up to come in, and another 2 or 3 being worked on. ONLY THEN will a judgement be made. He comes across to me as someone who knows more than he is letting on. Let's hope so.
Onward and upward

Hi Bengy, desperate to be proved right are we?

Warburton did do a good job to a point but for whatever reason he peaked and stopped taking the club forward.

The players he signed did a great job last season but have proved to be short for the SPL.

I take a different view from you - I support the team, I want them to win, I would like to see us winning the league by 20 points but I live in the real world, I do not want a return to the days of overspending and administration.

No club is perfect but if we as supporters are not behind the team, the manager or the board we have little chance of success

Just pointing out that you came on here slating anyone who criticised Warburton and in the end you were left with egg of your face. People are entitled to post views on here without you posting cheap childish remarks about them. You should be on here apologising how much you got it wrong about him and lear from it or is that beyond your understanding?

i don't believe chic green - if davie king didn't care he wouldn't have sent warburton packing or bought caixinha out his contract

I don't believe chic green

I'd happily pay £800 for a season ticket. Might be steap in comparison to other SPFL teams, however it would provide us more capital.

Dont know what this fixation on dave King providing all funds is. He's one of a number of shareholders. Granted he wanted to be the chairman, giving him boosted esteem over the other shareholders. but he's still one of a number.
He shouldn't make bold statements about £30million warchests, but the gullible will always believe and as a business man he will be more than happy for the fans to buy into these statements, buying season tickets to elleviate any full financial burden. No business man, in their right mind would plow countless millions into a football team, in a country that lives in the shadow of the worlds biggest league. Point blame toward the people who steer our game and the absolutely attrotious TV and advertising contracts they've negiotiated first. SPFL- 18th place in all of Eurpoes league = one of the poorest. All find and well having cash but if you can't attract great player, that want to play in this league then where does that leave us?
