Interesting quote from dave king in his statement earlier . "All of our season ticket money will be invested in the football squad as we continue to work towards taking our club back to the very top of Scottish Football. so if he sticks to his work then pedro should have around £15m transfer budget.

Surely the "football squad" includes wages as well as transfer fees? He didn't say that "only" the season ticket money would be invested but at least he has confirmed the minimum that will be spend is 100% of the money raised

Was thinking that myself mate, say we equal last seasons 43,000 sold and average £400 a season ticket. You're talking about £17.2m in the squad. I'd imagine that would go towards wages and players (assuming he sticks to his word) .

Can I just ask whoever disagreed with the op why that was? Do you disbelieve Dave King and I'm in the"believe it when I see it"camp with him or do you not think we'll make £15m off season tickets or because he says invested in the squad it will cover paying off unwanted players, signing on fees, wages etc. so it will end up nothing like that much for actual transfers? Interested in other people's views on/ interpretation of what he said.

Yeah i would asume £15m or so would include wages but still get couple decent quality in for that money especially if we can get a couple bosmans with quality and hopefully we get shot of a few

i take it this money will be for the season so will include the jan transfer window as well as this window so if it is in the range of 15 to 18 million. i'm guessing that some of this cash will be kept for jan window prob 5 plus million at least so looking at 10 million for this window plus any money that we get from selling players.

Yeah just seen this on newsnow, wow i'm shocked king has said that but i have been saying king needs to dig deep now or never, i'm officially excited now, though i'm also not 100% king will stick to his word, who knows he might even throw in a wee 5 million extra too lol

Liverpool Ger, that would be me! Fair cop but it was an accident mi'lord!

PS I do believe that DK will spend the season ticket money as described but don not believe that £15m will be spent solely on transfer fee's

Ed, can we have a don't know or unsure button to save my blushes in future?

If it is season ticket money on transfer fees then that is exactly what we need, if it is to include players wages etc., and also getting rid of the rubbish already at the club then it really won't go very far!

King is slippery. This is the same spin as before re his vhildrens inheritance. So all the rangers fans think there will be £15 mill transfer budget? The £15 mill is reinvested in tbe playing staff. That is wages, pay off of contracts, signing on fees, agent fees, registration fees, legal fees, lawyers etc. Also the playing staff are not just the first team. Let me assure you £15mill goes no where. The club probably spent that last season by the time they bought in Sendros, Barton etc so its no different. King did not day anything about transfer money its the gullable on hefe that can't understand anything and so wants to believe its all going to be all right. Stop kidding yourselves

Waken up lads, King will spend as little as possible. Again, he tells us what he thinks we want to hear.
Well there is some money he won't get his grubby paws on, and that is my money for 2 bar 72 tickets.
