Just wondered if anybody remembers the 1967-68 season where we remained undefeated in the league until the very last day.

I heard my dad talking about it years ago and if I remember correctly Rangers were only beaten by Aberdeen in the closing minutes of the final game of the season.

A brilliant achievement all the same at a time when Scottish football was on a high.

Don't know what his point is but I'd make a point. At that time Celtic were obviously in the ascendancy but Rangers too had a very, very good team which in another era would have done the 9-in-a-row themselves. For Glasgow to have two teams in the finals of the two big European competitions in 1967 was amazing and we went on to win our European trophy in 1972.

Rangers may have only been beaten once but they drew 5 times and Celtic still won the league?

My memories are that we had the jitters. We drew with Morton 3-3 and to crown it all our goal keeper against Aberdeen was Gerhard Neef who had a stinker and we lost 3-2.

Real memory lane stuff here tonight. My memory of that squad was that we had 3 goalkeepers none of whom inspired great confidence: Billy Ritchie, Norrie Martin and Gerry Neef.

Cheers guys. I was only a kid at the time and not yet going to games but I suspect that that Rangers team would have possessed much more talent than the current unbeaten Celtic team.

Very good Naz pity they couldn't have managed the whole season must have bottled it in the last game. Did you go unbeaten in the cups that season too?

Davie White was the manager and I remember him being interviewed after the last game when we lost to the sheep. He was shocked at the pelters he and the players received from the fans at the final whistle.
