I think hearts valuation of jamie walker is slightly on the high side £1m for a guy in final year of his contract . graham dorrans an established championship player and played in EPL and internationalist is going for just over the £1m so what makes hearts think they can ask for same . i would tell them to stuff it . sick of scottish teams trying to hold us to ransom just wait till january and get him on a pre contract that's what i would do.

Been happening for decades, even when we are clearly still trying to build up the team/ business, we are still seen as sugar daddies to the rest.
They will state we are bankrupt but put their hands out quickly enough
