Really hope the Jamie Walker deal goes ahead, this guy has proved he can cut it at this level with what has been a poor hearts team. Think he'd be a cracking player for us and if he continued to improve the £1m hearts are after would be an absolute bargain. Also think we should keep Tav, think he can be a great on his day and with the new cb pairing and holding midfielder Jack filling in to give him the freedom to go forward we will see the best of him.

£1mil for a player with 11 months left on his contract is a bargain? you on the wind up? £1mil if he had 23 months on his contract aye sure, but not 11months. I'd pay 750k maximum for him.

Cut it at what level? SPL mediocrity? He'd be a squad player.

I reckon Walker has more to offer than what he can offer right now at Hearts. For us I reckon he'd be a first team player easily, reminding you that he is a player that has created/ scored 22 goals this season for a very pish poor hearts side. I still wouldn't pay £1mil for him though.

Only show around my concern is we'd need to pay a development fee for him next season anyway so I'd rather get him in a season earlier and contributing to this campaign. That's if and it's a big IF he doesn't receive a more lucrative offer from someone else next season because if he has another season like that at hearts he won't be short of offers from championship or even some premiership teams. Obviously the cheaper we get him the better but can't see hearts budging to be honest.
Wee ecky I'm not or sure of your point or if you even have one. Sure hearts were mediocre last season but so were we! And he still managed more goals than any of our lot! As for squad player who would you rather have playing then? McKay? Walker would be more committed and more consistent, or dalcio or candeias? I'm sure you know plenty about them now you've seen them on YouTube haha! Walkers proved he can play in this league and with better player round him should return more than he did at hearts.

Point one, Andy expert: We don't pay a development fee for him next year as he will be 24 by then. Point two: Walker is a half decent player in a mediocre team, as you agree, and operating in a mediocre league. I would have hoped that top fans like you would have wanted us to raise the standard of Rangers far above that, not merely consolidate our present position by bringing in players of a similar standard. Lots of players have 'proved' they can play in this league, I want us to have players who will excel in this league. In Walker's case, a player who has never been a regular at any level for his country and who remains uncapped at the age of 24, there is scant evidence of that. As for your patronising, sneering remarks about youtube, they're just about worthy of a tim, not one of us.
