it may be frustrating to watch developments about Walker, but its down to a gamble really. Do we want him now for £1m or do we take that gamble and play wait and see? if we wait, he may be talked into signing a new deal with Hearts, and in that outcome we would miss out altogether?
I think we need to get him now before its too late, but we have spent quite a bit so far and maybe its time to take stock of our squad? difficult choice really.

He won't sign a new deal with Hearts, however, even though he's desp to sign for team he supports, clubs down south could pay him considerably more than ourselves esp if he's a free! I think paying the cash now is best move

i would love us to sign the lad walker his addition would give us a more balanced look to the team in terms of the type of player required i. e direct with a goal threat and homegrown guys in the team, but personally i don't think we will pump out another fee. Papers making more of it than it actually is in my opinion, maybe 1 loan deal still to come in! screaming for a right full back and winger but think it'll be one or the other. looking forward to the league this year i think there will be a fair bit of competition

We should stop messing about and get him signed. We'd be signing a quality player and a player who genuinely dislikes Celtic and has already shown he knows how to get under their skin. What more can we ask for?!

Walker won't be a free next year. Hearts are entitled to a development fee which will be around £400,000. I'd love to see him at Ibrox but we either need to pay the money Hearts are asking for, or move on. Pretty sure he's not a rangers fan as the papers are reporting either as his dad is and always has been a season ticket holder at Tynecastle so doubt very much he'd try to force through a move to us.

pretty sure there won't be a development fee as he's over 24

Magoo. As far as i'm aware he has just turned 24 on 25th June. Development fee's are paid for players 24 years old and under. When his contract expires next year he will still be 24 so Hearts due a fee? Could be wrong though.

i thought after a player turns 24 there is no development fee again i may be wrong but its been reported hearts are willing to let him go for nothing next year rather than let him leave this year, at the end of the day if there is a development fee next year then it makes our attempts of signing him look a bit ridiculous

1 million is a good price for a guy who scores and creates chance after chance and i would take moult aswell just incase marelos doesn't turn out to be the answer but from what I've seen of him on clips he looks good enough i'd just like to see more anger from the manager if the side isn't doing well or not following his tactics
