Hi as a man in his 50's I have supported rangers all my life and am growing tired of the whingers on this site as regard to the teams performance so far, I Imagine most of the whingers are in there 20's and 30's as let's face it between 86/ 87 and 2011/ 2012 we won 16 flags in 25 years a run of success like never before I grew up when things weren't quite so rosy I remember between 77/ 78 and 86/ 87 we went 8 years without winning a title and we were in the top ten richest clubs in Europe at that time, Pedro was a strange signing but we must let him fulfill his contract although I would cut back steadily on the money available to him if he is showing no upside and hopefully in 3 to 4 years our dof will have produced a new generation of rangers ready stars to compete with Celtic I think patience in the long run will win out .

Another brilliant perspective and voice of reason. Like you larky, I too am a man of a certain age and remember past years with nothing to shout about. We must bring some stability to the club and stick with Pedro, for the time being at least. We do not have access to limitless funds to buy our way out of this one and need to build year on year

Aye very good yous are old big whoop. Rangers were goid then bad then better. We grew up with souness taking over then sir walter now this keek. Its no about winning everything all the time, for me its about rangers and celtic being a few points apart last old firm of the season the buzz pure madness, that's what's missing excitement. No had that in a long time. Drawing with hearts 0-0 at ibrox, teams dobt care when they come to govan now the think they can get a result and there right. Bring back the fear.

We've had 6 years in the doldrums and Willie Waddell and Jock Wallace wouldn't have accepted this. It's not a sign of lack of patience when you consider the time frame. If Pedro wants to stake his Ibrox career on picking Kenny Miller at his age in a midfield role, good luck to him. He can fail and move on but us Rangers fans can't. His team selection, press interviews and a couple of questionable signings don't inspire a lot of confidence. 4 points out of 9 is a failure.

Fod, I'm with you with those sentiments too mate but look at where we've been these past years and all that has happened to us. As much as I will love us to just pick up from where we left off, it ain't going to happen like that I'm afraid. One step at a time sir and we'll be back, maybe not this year or next but it'll happen. I'm not blessed with patience either but know things go in cycles, and ours isn't far away from beginning.

Cletus, like kfraser has just said its a fail already. PC has signed rubbish players and is definitely 3 more bad results and he will be finished. i'm fed up with watching the team struggle against pure sheite teams, out of europe at the first hurdle was an alarm bell for me.

Does not matter what age you are we all need to stand by who ever is our manager through the good times and the bad times said it once say it again some people on here want success rite here rite now while the others have patience and give manager time but rangers and pedro don't have a magic wand so we all just need to grin an bear it just now and stand by support pedro the players and the club

Well let's hope our cycle starts with pedro on his bike.

Well said Larkyinoz Iam also in my fifties and remember going to Ibrox when there was maybe 8000 going to the games and going to meaningless games in midweek when the league was out of site, Its about time some posters on here took a reality check,

Kaymer no magic wand, maybe its a magic hat your after. Seriously though do you think we are that thick to believe we can win everything right away, especially with this bunch of rag tag misfits.

Kfraser Jock Wallace 2nd stint was not very successful truth being told. I went to many an abismal game. Skol cup was quite often our only silverware

Well gents I see we all have mixed feeling about how our club should be moving forward and how its going to achieve it. The only thing we can do is let them get on with what they are doing, watching games in complete frustration because we can't put the ball in the net. Yous old guys will be used to that apparently so you won't mind it, I won't enjoy it.

13.) 24 Aug 2017
24 Aug 2017 16:02:05
Fod honestly can't put the ball in the net? 4 Competitive scottish matches scoring 10 goals? Conceding 4. Aye that's right we can't put the ball in the net. Hibs game we were unlucky with a ref. And will admit the hearts game was just one of those games we could have played another 90 minutes and never scored. But they parked the bus.

14.) 24 Aug 2017
24 Aug 2017 17:15:27
Aww your counting that 6-0 game, that got your blood pumping and your brain thinking that's us back haha then hibs happened. Every team in scotland apart from that mob will park the bus and guess what they do it to celtic too.

Larkyinoz

In all your years of suppprting Rangers have you ever witness a worse result in Europe than we had under Pedro? Did you ever witness such a beating at home to Celtic in the league? Did you ever witness such a timid performance in a cup semi final against them? This whinging as you call it is down to some fans being utterly sick of substandard performances from the team. The manager had a distinctly average record so far as manager and the fact he has no previous experience in Scotland doesn't bode well

16.) 24 Aug 2017
24 Aug 2017 18:03:30
Larkyinoz my problem with your post is not the rubbish contained in it, its the comments after it "voice of reason", "common sense" etc, WHAT! Have I got this right, you think we should give pedro till the end of his contract even if he's not doing well but cut his budget back year on year and somehow we will come out of this stronger. I have no patience, none, I admit that but how long will this take and all the while sticking by a crap manager? Common sense aye OK

17.) 24 Aug 2017
24 Aug 2017 18:23:02
Some actual clued up fans commenting now, I like where this is going. We can't have this anymore sheite managers and players and the board seem happy to fund this all. Someone help us for real this time.

I will fully admit its not been the best start. No problem agreeing with that. But to chastise the team and manager so early on i don't get that at all. We aren't going to sweep celtic aside we are fighting to get a good second place and hopefully a cup and if at the end of the season we get that then i will be very happy at the improvement as that's what this is, its about improving and that takes time. We don't have a team to compete with celtic over a season yet and if everytime we get a manager and he has a poor run we want him out well that's seems mental to me, things take time.
Listen at the end of the day we all want them winning and i am sure that if he did go on a good run of form you would be happy as would all of us. its just i don't get wanting him out already.

19.) 24 Aug 2017
24 Aug 2017 22:15:51
Well Sparky I do agree the European result is a very low point and the Celtic result at Ibrox was very poor no getting away from that but a lot of blame must lay at the players feet and Jyf yes I would give Pedro less money if the guys he brought in weren't performing over time and expect him to fill the gap with our up and coming players.

Fodtheprod you say it's all about Rangers and Celtic and a few points between them at the end of the season are you real let's just look at the teams Pedro has spent somewhere in region of ten million bringing in eight players getting rid of probably not far short of same number so ten million Celtic have single players worth three or four times that price we are where we are do you really think ten million can close the gap get real over the season we need to catch Aberdeen and grab second spot we have now got DOF in and he needs to get our scouting system up and running all we're shut down by last board we need to get good young players in and develope them and
bring in two or three players a season not eight and nine they need time to settle I've lived through the lean years I've sat in Ibrox with barely ten thousand of a crowd but this team will get better it's a better team now than last year and the window hasn't closed yet so let's just see what happens he must be given this season to get the team going then look at where we are come June 2018

In all your supporting Rangers did you ever for a moment think we would end up in admin, liquidation and the bottom tier of Scottish football, no me neither . We have fallen a great distance and it will take a lot of effort to get back to the peak, sacking managers every season won't help. We need to tough it out ; don't let those with an agenda against our club be the winners we must stay strong.
