Keep reading on here for rossiter to start in old firm. He has played very little all season and wasn't even on the bench on Friday. I do like rossiter and think he will be good for us but nowhere near ready to start Saturday imo.

Basically what it is mate is that a lot of fans just love a right good moan every single day of life.

So even though he is a player, he's definitely not a better option than the two CM's we play with currently, but as he's not playing and he has talent, people will pick on that to have, as previously stated, a right good moan.

These are the same folk that moaned when Forrester didn't get a game last year. Clueless.

BearMode that's a wildly sweeping statement.
I am definitely not a moaner but I would like to see Rossiter in at the weekend.
Will he do better than the 2 in at the moment. no! But I believe that we need 3 in the middle for this game playing a 4-5-1.

This is also the sentiment I have heard from most of those bringing up Rossiter recently.
Every old firm game recently we have been over-run in midfield. If we hasd Jack and Rossiter in holding roles with Dorrans a little in front this is less likely to happen.

we need to have 5 in the middle as having 4 would play right into their hands .
i don't know why we didn't get moult though a decision that will baffle me all season.
herrera is taller but i can't see him being tough enough to win any headers as from what i have saw he isn't the bravest

Fair enough Bluegenius, I'll give you that it was a sweeping statement, slightly tongue in cheek mind you but possibly a bit unfair.

I agree with your comment about being overrun in the midfield, but we now have players with more dig and generally better footballer players in that position than last season.

The logic of playing Jack and Rossiter in the midfield together is pretty sound but in my experience, two CDM's in one team rarely works, example: Progres away. We played both those players and we could not create anything, and it certainly did not give us more stability defensively.

We also play variations of 442 this season, playing both Jack and Rossiter would mean leaving out Dorrans, or changing our formation completely.

Rossiter is away playing in that new youth league anyway

Rossiter is injured lads, along with Wallace and I think Krancer was the other.

I am not slating you BearMode. I do happen to think Pedro will stick with the 4-4-2 we have been using but this, IMO, will be a mistake.
I know 2 CDM's is a bit negative but I don't see us scoring a barrel load and I'm hoping a 1-0 could be our only chance. Would love to outplay them in an expansive flowing game but this is less likely.
I would love to see John and Rossiter getting run outs tomorrow to get practice.
If Rossiter is injured then we should still play 4-5-1 with a middle 3 of Jack, Dorrans and either Holt or Windass. Then put Miller out wide left.

Might just be me wearing the blue tinted specs but does anybody else feel we have absolutely rotten luck?

Considering out one loss this season was massively influenced by a shocking refereeing display, even the game on Friday, a honkin freekick hitting the wall makes it through on a deflection. (Although the 2nd was dreadful defending) . Partick were playing dirty, should have had a man sent off in the first half at 1-0, not even a foul given if I remember correctly?

People are also focusing on the fact we were playing 10 men, but surely people must know playing against 10 men with a goal advantage is always a tough task as they park the bus, which they did. Pretty embarrassing stuff from a home side tbh.

Celtic could have also been held to a draw vs Partick if the referee had been more competent.

BearMode

Sometimes you get decisions sometimes you don't but you can't use it as an excuse. As for the deflection that happens and all teams get that sort of luck. We just aren't good enough plain and simple

The recurring problem is - Tavernier is incapable of concentrating for 90 minutes. He has lost similar goals to the one on Friday through going to sleep at the back post and I can't see him changing. Celtic will look to exploit him on Saturday and based on his previous, he'll oblige. He is defensively weak, end of!
