what is the deal with with windass? he plays well for 20 mins then hides for the rest of the match. also pena is clearly hopeless should have been sent off twice.

I'm fed up with windass tbh does anybody else not think when Wallace is back to play john left wing and Wallace behind him? Think that could have a better balance down the left side.

I agree that up until now Pena has not shown us why we paid between £2-2.5M for him. I personally think that he will come good, and the only way he can do this is by getting game time!
I do think that he has ability and a good football brain BUT he needs to get used to the tempo of our game.
I get why there were supporters who were unhappy at him being selected for the Accies game, although I've not seen the match and I do not know how he performed? But Pedro must include Pena as this is the only way he can get to the level he needs be at.
For me I would use him in games against Teams that we should be dominating but against Teams such as the Sheep, Hibs, Hearts and St. Jstne if he is still off pace then a change must be made!
It is difficult and frustrating to take but its the only way to get this Player to the level he should be at!
Again I know its p! sh BUT there is NO better way to get the Player up to speed than to throw him in! He needs to get his act together soon tho and if Caxinha is saying that he is 100% fit then its surely just a matter of time until he starts to produce the goods when it matters.

Andy 1872 I did see the game last night and to an extent I understand what you're saying about Pena. Give him game time and surely he'll come good-have to say I have real doubts about him. Off the pace from the very start, poor passing, poor control, poor tackling, poor discipline (should have been sent off twice and will probably get banned for an off the ball elbow the ref didn't see) He makes think of that guy Aly Dia who Souness signed at Southampton who was a total imposter. Maybe the real Pena is still playing in Mexico and is smashing it. Look I want him to be great otherwise he's a total waste of a lot of money we can ill afford but for me you have to earn a first team place and he's miles off! We have youngsters like Bar jonas who are bursting for a start and have already shown they can put in a decent shift. In my view he deserves a chance and would certainly have to be bad to be worse than Pena last night.

Like playing with 10 men when penna in team utterly useless lucky not to be sent off

I wouldn't be surprised if he is punished for the elbow last night. Probably should have been sent off to for that poor tackle as well.

I hope Pena comes good but I do worry.
He reminds me of the other Latin boys who came to Scotland. Good players but just couldn't get up to speed with the crazy tempo of out game.
I am of course thinking of Sebastian Rosenthal and Gabriel Amato.

What, amato was brilliant. If Pena is as bad as amato he'd be the best player in our team.

Amato was a very good player, but was never up to the pace of the game here. I think that was the point bluegenius was making. At the time all the fans were saying if Amato had a yard of pace he would have would have went from Mallorca to Madrid and not Glasgow. He's now coaching in Mexico, by the way. Pena, however, is a player I've willed to do well for some time now and it's more than just a bit of pace he lacks. He is clearly unfit, his touch is awful, his concentration is zero, his passing is woeful and he has no discipline. If we keep playing him he will eventually cost us dearly. Sorry, this one's a mistake, but if you have to sign 10 players almost all at once, then a 70% success rate should be viewed as good. I think Pedro's around that mark. He was always going to need two or three transfer windows to make this work and he should be given that by our very fickle, glory-hunting 'fans'.

He is playing out of position he is not a left winger and does not have the engine to get up and down the wing.

Not convinced about Pena either, but i don't think a wet plastic surface helped him cope with the pace of the game.

Aye Amato was pure class. Pena nowhere near that calibre of player.
