I'm sorry but is it just me that thinks charging £55 for a third top we will wear for less than a season is a bit steep? And the home top is same price when they were selling it for a score back in July/ August. Am all for getting behind my team and supporting them financially but surely someone at the club must have some common sense and not try and play on our loyalty that we have shown over the years. Is this Puma or SD pricing it so their cut in the deal is still worth while?

A football top should cost no more than £40.

Correct delboy1979,ditch sports direct and puma at the end of this season, get a deal with a new retail partner and get either adidas, nike or under armour as our new kit manufacturers, sorted!

Call me cynical but i suspect the terms of the retail deal haven't changed. Always struggled to swallow the narrative that a guy as greedy and financially motivated as ashley agreed to walk away from a deal so heavily weighed in his favour. Before everyone says that he wasn't benefiting because of the boycott, he was! The terms of the retail deal stated that the club had to buy all unsold stock at retail price.

When Ashley invoiced the club for the millions in unsold stock and king realised we couldn't pay, i believe they came to a mutually beneficial arrangement. King agreed to get the supporters buying the merchandise on the basis that ashley sold his shareholding. This would allow king to pass the motion for a new share issue to finance the summer spending.

Totally agree with what you're saying wilson0212. I think I'm right in saying the AGM is fast approaching so I'm looking forward to what comes out of that. Overall I think it's a nice top and I'll no doubt buy it just sceptical as to where the money is still going still. Hope the board stick by Pedro he's spent too much to abandon the idea already. Although I woulda liked to have saw Moult and Walker rather than the two Mexicans. Can see us missing out on Moult to a championship side if he keeps going the way he is.

If that was the case it would have come out by now! Someone would have leaked the details

Don't think Kenny Miller would have got access to that info Jason! :-)

@gm90 - Rangers won’t have an option on setting the price. Plus no one is forcing you to buy.

You think Moult might finish up in the English second division but he's a player that can take us up a level? Oh dear.

@wilson - would someone as ruthless and financially motivated as Ashley not keep his shares and demanded the retail money due?
He got sent back South with his tail between his legs.

@bigsam I think Moult would undoubtedly strengthen our attack with Morelos playing off him. But yes, I do think he might end up in the English CHAMPIONSHIP because 1) most of the teams can offer him better wages than us and 2) seeing as he's from Stoke-on-Trent he might favour a move back down south. Not saying championship sides are bigger or better than us. Dembele came from that division and he strengthened that mob.

wilson, where did u hear that as I've only heard it on rumour sites and nothing of substance.

in fact for every time i hear about us having to buy out all unsold stock, which is unheard of in any deal anywhere. there are just as many people to say that its nonsense and is not part of the deal.

so please confirm u have that as a fact and how u know this for a fact.

GM90, right. You want to sign a goalscorer so that another goalscorer can play off him. Call the league what you like (even shout it in capitals) but is is still England's second tier. Then you say he'd probably prefer to move south anyway, so what's the point of your fantasy football post? Finally, you find a single instance of a player from that league doing well in the SPhelL to try to justify all your nonsense. Fact is, Moult will never be good enough to play for Rangers. Surely you must have more ambition for our great club than that?

Ripping us off with the £54.99 price and letting on its £64.99 to start with, yet JD can sell it for £50.
