Alves is in Portugal which is only a 2-3 hour flight back to Glasgow so why wouldn’t he be back in time when the game was Tuesday. I’m sure he doesn’t have to walk it

Alves was an unused substitute for Portugal and McCrorie played for 25 minutes for Scotland u-21's so doesn't seem any reason why either of them shouldn't be considered for Friday night.

This is the team I think we will go with. I'm not saying I would choose this.
However the one thing I would do is ask Miller to stop coming so deep and instead work the no.10 space and try to go down the left channel sometimes. This would hopefully mean we have someone to make runs into box and also he could alternate out left when Windass comes inside (as he always does) .

Close, bluegenius, but Pena will play, not Miller. There are still difficulties between him and Pedro. I'm told a lot of this is to do with training and planning, as some of the 'British' players seem to take exception to some things, like Pedro dragging them by the arm and making them stand in certain areas of the park while he explains what he wants from them.

Pedro insists it's quicker than trying to communicate in three different languages, but one or two senior players resent being treated 'like the under 10s' as one supposedly described it. However, there is agreement amongst them that they actually buy into most of what he's trying to do.

I've actually noticed Pedro doing that (grabbing by the arm) bigsam and i think its degrading to grown men/ pro footballers. i actually seen him doing it to Dorrans and he looked embarrassed and pissed off.

I haven't actually seen it, SG34, but I've been told about it by the single source I still have that I'd believe. To me it just seems like a bit of a culture clash that grown men should be able to talk about and iron out amongst themselves. I once saw Walter dragging a very senior player from one end of the park to the other and say, 'That's the effing run I mean, you brainless ****.' It happens.
