I for one hope we bring in a big name manager or a manager that's competed at CL level. we need a manager that's going to step in and take control of the team on and off the pitch.

key points the new boss should be like:

he can strengthen the team with the players we have.

won't be scared to look at our youth teams.

play a defensive role. ( stop conceding easy goals )

gets a few million to spend in the next window ( Hoping it's the jan one and not the summer one )

won't be scared to change a team that's not playing to Gers standard.

and w/ o t be intimidated by fans and other managers in Scotland like some managers are.

lastly take us within 8 points of Celtic by the end of the season and secured 2nd and qualify for Europe group stages next season.

thoughts?

I'm not convinced that mcinnes is the man for the job (although he gets my full support if he gets the job) I too would hope we look for a manager with experience of higher level football than mcinnes wright red etc! Who!? I don't know! But having brought in Mark Allen as director of football after pedro was wrong it should have been him first and manager/ coach second! For this reason I think Allen will have a massive influence on who gets the job and wouldn't be surprised to see a coach rather than a 'manager' with the director of football having a more prominent role!

Just a point of order fifaguy, getting a few million to spend is a board matter; not a quality you look for in a manager. Unless, of course, you mean the new man has to provide the few million.

McInnes is the safe option to steady ship. Not too sure he can take us to the next level?
