I'm pretty surprised that DM never took the job or whatever stopped it from happening, but that statement the board put out is embarrassing! They approached Aberdeen to speak to him, he knocks it back and then the board basically say yeah he's not ready to manage a massive club like us. but Pedro Caixinha was?!

I really wanted DM in and if I had heard right Barry Ferguson in as no.3 because the would've made this squad realise what it takes and what it means to play for our club.

Can't think who else they will go for but I know it's coming into winter and the board better not be flying down to the shop and panic buying some mediocre ex-prem manager Just to look the part.

Their is a lot of work to be done aside from just getting a manager and I sincerely hope we are back on top before they get anywhere near 10 in a row.

It's an act of madness by McInnes. The chance of a lifetime comes along, destiny's calling and he turns it down. It was an opportunity to grasp not run from. Of course it carried risks but that's what life's about and with ambition and ability you reap the rewards. He won't manage an EPL club in his career and so what's he left with? Maybe a Championship team one day but it means his lot is Aberdeen. A nice part of the country but away games with half empty stadiums (outside Glasgow and Edinburgh) and very limited hopes of big successes. Just had to grasp the nettle and he couldn't.

I totally agree he wasn’t the right man for the job anyway, the job is too big for him, it just shows you the man has no ambition and can’t work under pressure that is why he turned it down he knows he wouldn’t be able to handle the pressure. Did you see his outburst after the game at the weekend that is not the mark of a manager who can handle pressure never mind the pressures that come with managing the most successful club in football. Good riddance I think we have dodged a bullet there. The sheep will turn on him when we Finnish second ahead of them, onwards and upwards let’s get behind murts and the team now

Derek mcinnes is a choker in big pressure games! He's got a cosy wee pen up in sheepland managing the sheep! Our board without a doubt have been embarrassing in their pursuit of a new manager! But there's one thing i've continually said on here guys, derek mcinnes HASN'T got it to be the manager of glasgow rangers! Simple as that and as far as i'm concerned, we've had a great escape here! The enormity of our very high pressure job, was way too big for delboy mcinnes!
