Posters on here saying McInness not good enough. To an extent I agree, no better than Murty in my opinion. However the Board would have appointed him. It's clear Rangers hoped he would walk out of his position so compensation would be less. You don't conduct your recruitment via a PR release.

So this says more about the Board than McIness. The job was his, the Board weren't asking him in for an interview to assess him, so the Board would have appointed another manager who would not improve that team any more than Murty can.

The job wasn't necessarily McInnes, the club wanted to speak to him yes but you would want to speak to a prospective manager before offering him anything. Think Gers job was too big for him and his arse went. Not a big loss. All these ex rangers players, not one a successful manager, havering nonsense. We're sitting 2nd despite getting beat twice in the last 4 games. No need to panic
