Maybe Billy Davies will come back into the reckoning as he would definitely not turn down the offer of being Rangers' manager!

I have just read the Jackson article and I agree with him. No doubt those who think it's the Daily Rebel won't. Remember they think it's the Daily Ranger so they can't win. Our statement was a complete embarrassment and for Derek McInnes to turn us down worries the rubbish out of me.

Jackson just having another dig at rangers along with Leckie in the sun.

Everyone agrees the statement released was terrible and poorly thought out and managed.

His article has Nothing about Mcinnes doing an 11th hour u-turn. Jackson even doubts if Mcinnes would have increased his salary at rangers.

Wee Mcinnes led the board up the garden path and shafted them. Where was that bit in the article?

That’s cause it wasn’t an 11th hour u turn dm asked for a guaranteed transfer budget which the board couldn’t do so dm said thanks but no thanks

Baz the bear. I agree with u. I forgot the bit about salary. . I think that's pish. Derek McInnes led them up the garden path? Aye. he waited 6 weeks to go to his boyhood heroes then said no for no real reason. Aye right. If u don't think that there is more to this then that your choice. me. no chance he would have knocked Rangers back without good cause. no chance! He might not be right in his assumption but he didn't like something.

Believe what you want. Just pointing out it’s NOT a balanced article

how can you get a balanced article with the 2 biggest snakes in the papers like leckie and jackson, pair of worthless middens

Getting the salary bit wrong. possibly. . doesn't mean it's not a balanced article. I love giving ma Celtic pals pelters about their conspiracy theories and how they get cheated never defeated. . we r getting as bad! We now just seem to want to read and hear things that suits our particular argument. . maybe I'm doing just that! . but I doubt it

My point is Mcinnes was offered the rangers job. I think that is a fact.

The terms offered to him will be the same terms offered to anyone else I would imagine. Better terms and bigger budget than any team apart from Celtic.

In today’s herald Mcinnes was discussing the team for Saturday. Everything was agreed. Even the players thought he was coming. On the rumours page other fans are saying the same. I am just not buying DM is as pure as the driven snow and big bad DK and the rest of the board are the big bad wolf. IMO Mcinnes bottled it. No beef with you Dutch. I thought it was a poor article along with Leckie in the sun .

Cheers Baz. I've not read the article in The Sun. Maybe Derek did bottle it. I just can't see it. I don't really like or dislike any reporter but for me it's their job to dig deep so therefore they should know more than you or me. I remember when my Celtic loving pal was going on about administration and I thought he was talking pants. but he was right. What will be will be. I wanted Derek McInnes to get the job as I thought and still think he's the best man for it. I still cannae believe he said no and that's why I strongly believe that there is more to this.

If you read rubbish your fed rubbish. Just like Sutton Close your ears when he talks. Stop letting press and ex players invade your ears with their nonsense. Barry great player but desperate for a job. Enough.

Dutch, I worked in newspapers at a senior level for many years. Journos are usually fishing just as much as the rest of us, make up as many stories as the rest of us and sometimes walk right into a winner, like the rest of us. They are sometimes also as gullible as the rest of us, and good managers and directors use that to their advantage by feeding them bull.
