I would like to take the opportunity to welcome back jimmy Nichol, loved him as a player no nonsense diehard rangers man. As a player his mix of skill and toughness is something our team has lacked if he can instill that in these players we have I can see us running celtic to the wire.

Why this continued negative s***e? I wholeheartedly welcome jimmy nicholl back to rangers as murty's assistant! He's a very good coach and a better no.2 than a manager! Has the makings of a good rangers management team, where jimmy nicholl's experience will be invaluable! We have to be the worst supporters at putting someone down, when they come to our great football club, instead of giving them total backing and waiting to see how they do!

DSGERSFAN, you having a laugh mate? Jimmy Nic managed Raith when they beat the rotten mob at Ibrox to win the league cup as a 1st div team! Took them into EUROPE and played very well against none other than Bayern Munich. Has amassed a wealth of experience in club and international management. He will be an excellent Assistant to GM. Some of the comments on this site utterly dumbfound me at times seriously!

Why do some of our fans find fault with things before giving people a chance. I welcome jimmy nicholl back to the club. The guy has forgot more than a lot of people in the game know. Welcome home jimmy.

When I read some of the comments on here I truly believe some of the contributors must be supporters of other clubs that just hate Rangers and come on here to sow discontent.

Played under Jimmy Nich for a couple of years and he is some character! Think he will be a great addition as he is almost the polar opposite of Murty and will give a balance in the changing room.

Nicholl is a great appointment, we have been crying out for these type of guys. Guys who know our game and the type of player needed for our game. Murphy is a great buy also.
