I got shot down when I said I would rather have Murty in charge instead of McInnes so do the same haters still disagree with me, also we need to tie Bates down on a new contract pronto let Wilson run out his contract.

You may well be right. Time will tell. Some posters go on and on about how well Murty talks and others have pointed out media savvy training. What matters are results. I think Murty has the ability but worried about his naivety. If he brings Miller back into the starting 11 when we have a player like Cummings, all bets are off. My worry is that he buys into the Miller legend status that half the posters here belong to and pay no attention to 38 years of age, too old for us now and well past his best. That'll be a test of Murty's managerial acumen.

I wanted Murty as well but it is still early days I think judge him at the end of the season and then again after 3 transfer windows. Things are certainly far more positive. He speaks well, tactically he is very good against the top 6 and the players seem to enjoy playing for him.

I agree although kenny has been a wonderful servant through the dark days at the club. I would prefer him in a coaching role but nowhere near the starting 11.

RfcChris, do you know he can coach? I'd just let his contract run down then let him go, same as any other player, unless he agrees to leave sooner. I think the problem for Murty is that Miller is his pal from their Scotland days and it's much tougher to bin a pal. As for 'a wonderful servant through the dark days' he didn't return until we were in the championship.
