Got to love the 'I'll bite your hand off' quotes for the Morelos offer from China. We have a lot of lions posting. 35 million for Drinkwater to Chelsea. Think about it and the EPL market. One fifth of that for a 21 year old whipper snapper proven goalscorer who'll no doubt be playing for Colombia isn't a steal. No hands needing bitten off. Morelos is worth more. Needs improving on his heading but he's got the instinct for scoring and that's a commodity we've got invested on our books.

I know he’s a striker but has anyone else noticed the defensive clearances he make in our own box at set plays lol think we should hang on to him and hold out for more money later. 21 years old. Phenomenal work rate and although still a bit raw the ability is there and will only improve. Plus if Cummings hits the ground running then has a dip in form, which happens btw, we could be doing with both of them

Genuinely can't see morelos being a regular for columbia anytime soon when they have Falcao, bacca, zapata, bora and hurtada ahead of him with Rodriguez and arango breaking through.

Out of interest how many times has he played for the u21? Of course a move to the epl may well change that but that's a big if and only if he's scoring 20+ league goals a season down there.

I would seriously say 15 mil or he stays. Before everyone shoots me down, I don’t believe he’s worth that right now after half a season but we need to start playing the modern transfer game. It’s all about perception, there’s no magic calculator that will tell you what a player is truly worth. If we slap that price tag on him it shows we won’t be messed about with low offers, for example McKay and others. Then even if he doesn’t go for that much at least it will still be more than what we would’ve got otherwise
