Right not posted for a week bit but I've been watching all these posts for sometime and most I agree with. After Sundays display its plain to see we hav a team that is playing well albeit we missed a few situations but overall I can see we are going to be great to watch next season. Give Murty the job and see where he can take us, he still a bit inexperienced but you only learn and some of the managers he played under proves he will be a success whether its or somewhere else. Mark Allen and Jimmy Nic are also doing a magnificent job and it all points to greater things. All the rubbish we have had to walk through this past 5 years is about to come to a end and this great football club will be back to where it belongs.

it will be interesting to see what murty does over the next 3-4 games in the run upto the semi, however stats show that there has been little improvement

Warburton - 43 points from 72 possible (24 games)
Pedro - 38 points from 60 possible (20 games)
Murty - 44 points from 72 possible (24 games)

Prefer to use my own eyes Rabc and there has been a marked improvement all round since Murty took over, so much so that we we should have beaten Celtic on Sunday and that could not have been expected when Pedro got sacked. Secure 2nd, run them close in the semi again and see what can be done in the summer transfer window.

Next season is all about turning round our home form and trying to become unbeatable against the rest. The Old Firm games will take care of themselves but pressure will come on them if we are not dropping silly points against lesser sides.

RabC - I think to compare Murty's stats with Pedro and Warburton seems a bit ludicrous? The man is a developmental coach and the other two are apparently "established" managers, so from that point of view, Murty has exceeded all expectations at this moment in time.

Dont think you can judge murty from before the transfer window he was only working with what he got left with but since transfer window there has been a big improvment

That's one way of looking at it Rab.
You could also say Murty has a winning percentage of 69.57% (this season) .

Pedro 51.85%.

Warburton 65.85% and most of these games were in the championship.

So by going with these numbers there is an improvement.
I'm just playing devil's advocate here, I don't like statistics and as we all know you can cherry pick numbers to support an opinion/ agenda.

My opinion from watching the games is that there has been an improvement under Murty particularly with in the style and bringing respectability to Rangers both on and off the pitch.

@wee_bear sure some of our performances have been really good to watch but nothing alters the fact that all 3 have picked up similair totals and all 3 have some horrendous results and performances.

@binyin93 yes i agree to an extent but when you say murty is a development coach that for me is exactly why i do not think he is a long term answer for us. an experianced manager would have made the changes on sunday to take the game to them and won. just my opinion of course

RabC - I do actually agree with you on that point, an experienced manager would have made the changes and potentially won the game earlier on, but to see how far we have come since January not only on the field but the players togetherness off the field, for me merits Murty being given the chance to prove his worth for one full season.

I think if the board did decide to move Murty back to being a Developmental Coach then who comes next? Who can possibly take us that one step further next season? Frank De Boer? Steve Clarke? I'm just not sure.

There has without doubt been improvement since murty took over! Come on, how many old firms were we competing with them? Pedro and warbs failed, except that semi we won on pens, but that was deila in charge of them, (their equivalent to pedro) murty for Me, deserves at least a one year contract AND funds to spend, then he can be judged but I really do believe he would do well! Of course I would like a big name no nonsense manager, but would they get a better reaction from our players than murty has?

Most awful use of stats I've ever seen

Think we need to see how the next 2 games go against them before we can see how far we have come. Feel too many fans are being premature about our progression. After all Kilmarnock managed to beat them unlike us. So are they closing the gap too?

Rab stats are there fair enough. But Murty has got the best out of Warbertons players and Pedro's. Something they could not do. Murty done a good job in my eyes but as he says there is always room for improvement. Onwards
