The media is saturated with the question of Murty's future. A sitter from two yards against Celtic ignited it. McCoist got bad press about not building a future from youth and yet only Lewis McLeod, who he did promote, has proven Rangers class. McKay maybe. Warburton did okay when you consider his miserly budget though Garner, at his transfer fee, didn't crack it. Pedro and his millions to spend stands out as a big mistake and a gamble which makes no sense. So back to Murty. Injuries to Dorrans, Jack, McCrorie and Bates hasn't helped his case but all out of his control. He's an intelligent man and that should give him an edge. He fits the profile but it's in the hands of the players he picks.

All clubs suffer injuries and Murty has had the luxury of a bigger squad and being able to acquire so many players in the January transfer window. How many players did Aberdeen, Hibs and Kilmarnock get in the transfer window? Murty just doesn’t have the experience required to challenge Celtic and if he is given the job for next season then I doubt very much he will last the season

Murty has done well but hasn't had any luck with injuries. As you say kfraser, Dorrans, Jack, McCrorie and Bates plus Wallace and Rossiter. Pedro's reign was a disaster and Warburton was all bluster and no substance. I hope we can finish the season on a positive note, finish a comfortable 2nd in the league and win the Cup. Then we can see where we go from there. We are getting closer, that's for sure. Thing is had we beaten that lot (and we should have) and then beaten Kilmarnock (which we would have) then we'd be a point behind.
