Was at the game today. Cannot see what Windass brings to the team. We need guys who will fight for 90 minutes. Alves is only interested in a back pass to the goalkeeper. Martin too shaky and shouldn't be retained. Morelos did well holding the ball up but is immature in his decision making typified with his snatch at goal in the late stages when he could have set up Cummings. Good to see Dorrans back and McCrorie close. Disappointed to see us bullied again. For me, Pena, Herrera, Windass, Alves, Martin, Halliday, Wallace, Dalcio, Rossiter, Miller, Hodson are the leavers wherever we can. Those out of contract, loaners or sellable must leave. Morelos can go for anything north of £4m given we paid £1m and owe a 10% sell on to his former club. I have no insider rumours on who should come in but I'd like Cummings and Murphy confirmed asap and bring in two first team ready Central Defenders, a proven striker and another player capable of playing behind a front two. We can make huge savings by getting rid of the above and look at bringing through some of the youth with a couple of proven players. Now is the time to look at Barjonas, Hardie, Wilson, Atakayi and so on with decisions on whether to keep/ sell/ loan. As for the manager, it isn't Murty but neither is it De Boer. Other than Clarke, I can't think of a realistic, affordable alternative and we've had too many false dawns. Just my thoughts as a frustrated fan. Thoughts welcomed.

Lifelonger, so 11 can go? Where do Rangers get the money to replace them?

Halliday, Wallace and maybe even Rossiter will still be here next season as we require a whole squad of players and can't buy 7 or 8 as well as the likes of Murphy and Cummings. Hardie is now playing at his level, while Florida in January showed Atakayi isn't close to the first team yet. Barjonas isn't progressing the way we had hoped and neither is Beerman, but this lad Middleton looks like he could step up. As for the next manager, it could well be de Boer, according to a former player, a Dutch player I know, who reckons he's already been approached and was also approached before the McInnes fiasco, but didn't want to start in the middle of a season. Rumours? Of course, that's what people talking to people brings. Oh, and as for Alves, two thirds of his passes today went forward (watch it) and he was also trying to cover for an awful partner in Martin. Wasn't the worst by a long chalk, that's Windass despite what the stats 'experts' might say. He's just rotten.

We can generate some transfer fees. We can also make significant wage savings. We can also promote some youths who must be better going by everything I read on here. 3 or 4 in supplemented by our top youngsters like Middleton, Atakayi and so forth. We won’t miss Wallace, Pena, Herrera, Dalcio, Alves or Hodson. We have McCrorie, Jack, Dorrans incoming. Simply my opinion.

Not saying it’s the answer however we either play these guys or they’re not good enough and they go. I’ve not seen anything from them to suggest they are or aren’t good enough but why retain them if not? I’ve given a fairly lengthy opinion. You don’t need to agree. But as usual on this ‘forum’, very few people offer realistic solutions, instead sticking in ridiculous “I’m hearing xxx” or otherwise. My point is that we need to clear more dross, buy first whatever team ready players we can afford and supplement the squad with the best prospects we have. I don’t think that’s particularly far fetched but I’m keen to hear your solution. Happy Easter.
