Has anyone seen a black eye or thick lip on anyone in any of the pressers or news broadcasts or pictures in the paper? I haven't and deduce (as I don't have a source in the dressing room) that what went down was verbal. I would like to think that the players that did not make it onto the pitch, and some that did, showed their feelings, not for losing 4-0 but for a total lack of fight and if certain people cannot handle this then its them that should be shown the door. I'll say it again, if murty had subbed me with 5mins to go until HT then there would have been black eyes and thick lips for all to see.

Halliday was lucky to stay on the pitch for 40 minutes even by his low standards he was utterly appalling. Incredible to think s certain individual on here who claims he knows more about the game than most on here championed for him to start then blamed Murty for playing him out of position for his woeful performance

Halliday came off the bench against dundee last week and the game changed, mainly because that let Dorrans move further forward into his favored position that did not happen on Sunday he played with them all far too deep and who was on brown? No one is saying Halliday was having a good game just that martain was having a far worse game as was Mcrorie yet Halliday is getting singled out on this site and singled out for humiliation by our manager, arthutd, if you are happy for that to happen to one of your own then perhaps YOU'RE not one of OUR own!

i don't like Halliday but why not change at half time. or earlier in the game. no sense giving someone else 5 mins. for me mcrorie should have played in DM role giving speed to CBs and covering when Tav and John go forward. He set out defensively which backfired dramatically

I think a lot of people had their mind made up about Hallidays performance when the team line ups were read out. Not saying he did well at all but the guy is just another scapegoat and most of the team played with no heart or belief. Don’t have a clue what went on in the dressing room but let’s be honest if any one of us were in there at full time there would have been hell on. I have a letter here asking me for £1000 for 2 season tickets and while I will renew the whole club from top to bottom better smarten it’s ideas up

Personally I'm not a big fan of Halliday that doesn't mean I want rid of him I think he's an OK squad player but I must admit I was a bit surprised when I saw his name in the starting line up, saying that he wasn't having any worse a game than the majority of other players my question is why take him off with five mins to go, to have him walk across that pitch in front of a full crowd as if he was the culprit was plain and simply wrong what difference would five mins make speak to him at half time explain it's not working and allow him the respect that all our players should be shown as a manager or a boss you have to earn your employees respect once you do that they will fight tooth and nail for you

I don't want Murty in for next year but i do want a good, strong manager that will not be affraid to sub when he feels the team needs it. doesn't matter if its at 40 mins or 60 mins. If the windass had come on and scored to make it 2-1 then we're back in the game for the 2nd half. The last 5 mins of the 1st half is always a great time to score. Forget the one of our own pish. Its about a good team playing well and well led by a strong technical manager

Aye but pappy that didn't happen windas came on and done nothing for 50 mins. By one of our own I mean ANYONE with our famous blue jersey on. I wouldn't humiliate any one of them but it was far worse for Halliday who was blameless for both goals which came from wide, look at candyarse for the second before it even got to martin to set up nicely for them. Give blame where it is deserved. "one of our own pish" aye OK let's give them hell on Sunday eh pappy.

Who cares if he is one of our own? Shouldn't make a difference in a professional environment. If it was the wrong thing to do then it was the wrong thing to do, regardless of if the player is a fan or not

By one of our own I mean one of our own players. That said some players in the team will take it far worse than others, I swear its water off a ducks back.

Let’s face it the Halliday substitution made absolutely no difference with 5 minutes to go in the 1st half so Murty should have left it till halftime, I do feel a bit sorry for Halliday because in my opinion you could have taken anyone of our players off at that stage as we were all over the place and making no impact on the game whatsoever.

I know it didn't end up making a difference on the day but all i mean is, with the right players and the right manager making a sub on the 40th minute might pay dividends against our biggest rivals. So the substitution at that time isn't a problem. Its the team and manager that are just not quite good enough, that's the problem
