Stevie g is not going to be our new manager it canâ€™t be we canâ€™t have a guy who has never managed a big club like ours.

This would be a massive risk and I am afraid if he does get it we may as well give the unwashed the treble again next season

Seems like deja vu if Gerard is appointed.

I remember a novice international, leader on the pitch, top of his game pro was appointed as our manager. He was still playing and made a few errors at the beginning.

If Gerard is anything like Souness thereâ€™s quite a few non renewers who are going to be wishing that they were true supporters because they wonâ€™t get their seats back anytime soon.

Gio n fdb didn't have much more experience than stevie g when they took charge of big teams. Souness, zidane and so on.

I can see your concern but spin back 30 odd years! 36 year old player manager in Souness no managerial experience! Some times you need to gamble as for your list the only 1 to manage big clubs was AVB how's his record?

with board on the brink of apointing him i can only assume he has really impressed the board in his interviews and is willing to work with a director of football.
this apointment is so strange and uncesseray by the board but they must see something they like in him.
But they don't exsactly have a good track record of chosing the right manager and i hope for the club and for them he is the right choice cause.
Gio van bronckhorst deboer boas warnock neil clark i can only assume these managers have made higher demands and asked the board a lot of questions and may not be willing to work with director of football.
When our club promised us the best manager possible i thought we would have got one of names mentioned above.
It reallt should be one of the list above.
On plus side he will know Brendans tactics inside out and may be able get the better of in next next season and he may be able attract better players i will give him my full backing but if it turns out he was the wrong choice then it needs to be the board that leave next.

Southsideger i think gerrard will be completly the opposite from pedro it is a gamble but i think it will work out. just hope he is getting a say on signing players.
There is no doubting he is a big name and will attract a lot of attenion will be intresting to see if he brings his own staff.
There will be a lot of fans excited at this apointment and you can garantee ibrox will be full come begning of season again.
