We have a couple of promising youth players worthy of a shot at the first team. I'm all for one or two established players who might be on Gerrard's radar but players like McGinn of Hibs, Soutar of Hearts and even Gauld at Sporting Lisbon could establish the longer term goal we need to look at and they all understand what Rangers are about. I'm not keen on 30 plus years players wanting to see out the end of their careers at Ibrox.

Gonna make myself a hypocrite here. I'd love us to get to the top with homegrown players and prudent buys it would be great. I still want the big investment lol.

Mcginn should go down south or to us. Celtic proberly sign him just to stop us. He would play every week for us.

If McCoist had done it right that might be the case. All we needed was some experienced players and young boys in division 3 and he went out buying. a lot of players were not needed throughout the process . Perfect opportunity missed.
