HujEss I don't think you can compare these two players, besides I'm concerned we are linkedrumourd to be interested in several mid 30s players! One or two maybe but we can't load the team with them

As much as I would like to see Gerrard build a team for the future I also believe it doesn’t have to happen immediately. If he wishes to load the majority of the team with much older players that have ability and experience but may only have one or two seasons left in them then I am content with this. I would like to believe that this approach would only be to be more competitive instantly and after we have regained our rightful place #1 we would look to introduce the next generation gradually to the team. Of course this is just an opinion and I have no way of knowing what the management are planning but if it’s a team of aged players, young players or the perfect blend of both I think this might be a season to get excited about.
