See Liam Burt has signed an extension. If he's not in first team plans he should be loaned to a premiership team like Livingston to push the experience levels up a notch. I think he'd do well at Hearts personally.

Seems like he's been on the verge of breaking into the first team for a few years but never quite made it. That suggests to me that he's not quite good enough (remember some of the dross we had masquerading as players a few years ago) . If SG and my think he warrants a new contract then fine, they obviously see some potential but does anybody here really see Liam Burt being a first team player for us next season or the season after? I certainly don't.

That's a little harsh on the boy. He looks a great player.

Hearts played 16 year old in the team last season and one had broony in his pocket in ine of the games next game broony snapped him. Can't remember his name but he looks a good prospect. They would play him over burt

Liam Burt is a smashing wee player and deserved his new contract. A loan spell looks likely however this is one of our kids that could break through in next year.

Pappa that was Harry Cochrane, think we released him a couple of years ago and has since made great strides at hearts.

He would have been closer to the first team in the last 12 months if it wasn't for a bad foot/ ankle problem that needed an operation that ruled him out for 6 to 8 months, he only returned towards the end of March start of April if I recall. High hopes for him though.

I know Harry Cochrane’s dad mate. Gers didn’t want him as was a bit slight. His old man Ross played a bit too. Diehard Gers man and so is his boy. Ross comes from Stonehouse but went to Strathaven Academy. Larkhall, Strathaven, Stonehouse all within 4 miles-All Gers towns. 100%

G unit. i work with his grandad hecwas released as he wasn't as tough as the other youth players in the team. but since has made a big impact in big games. the young lad is a talent that coaches at gersvinbthe past missed out on.
