What happened to the marquee signing to coincide with the new strip release?

Ok so you do realise that the only people that were making such statements were rather hopeful fans? I don’t remember any club statements announcing there would be a marque signing along with the strip release so can you explain how this is a false dawn?
As someone else mentioned, the whole idea of holding back an agreed signing so they could coincide with th strip release would be mental considering we have a european tie coming next week. The strip release will always of had an official date and players will be announced as and when they are signed.

Speaking to a few bears fans over here in Ibiza and we all wanted the new strip for going away on holiday! The usual guys on here telling you it’s because of the Sports Direct contract but we have missed a trick here and the strip should be on SALE right now!

What part of legally binding contract do people not get. We are still tied into a contract with my and SD so we CANNOT sell strips until this runs out. Its no hard!

My point was aimed at the guys from here that continued to express their confidence in a marquee signing at the same time as the strip launch not the club. Also, it wasn’t a derogatory slant at them but more of a hopeful enquiry if there is still something in the pipeline?

Bathgatebear it's going to be an ongoing process regarding signings. I believe we will sign 2 players after the English teams finalise their squads. Remember we can sign players right up till end of August so loads of time.
