Not a rumour but a cracking story


I'm currently on holiday in Cyprus and my 10 year old Son lost his Nintendo Switch games console. I had to go to the Central Police Station in Paphos to Report it missing.

The Police Officer taking my details informed me he was a Rangers fan. He was a young officer on duty the night we played Anthorsis Famagusta in a Champions League qualifier in 1995 and as we had a team of greats at the time (Gaza's, Laudrup etc. ) . he fell in love with The Rangers and has been following the worlds most successful club ever since

He knew all about our recent demise, League demotion, financial issues and Stevie G

Even on a little island in the Eastern Mediterranean, it's all about The Rangers

That reminds me of when I was living in Cyprus about 6 years ago, I was living at some upmarket Apartments near Paralimni, there were some guys who used to come to the pool every day at about lunchtime and I found out they were footballers playing for a Cypriot League club, the guys were all Croatian and I got talking to them, one of them had actually played for Hapoel Tel Aviv against Rangers in the champions league and he told me that he knew they were going to lose against us the moment he walked out at Ibrox and the noise of the fans made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, he also told me that Ibrox was the best aand most historic stadium that he had ever played in, I was so chuffed that he was praising our club so much, and this was before I told him that I was a Rangers fan, he was a really nice guy he knew Jelavic and Modric, he even told me that Jelavics agent was trying to get him a move from Rangers to the EPL, After that every time I spoke to him he would ask me about Rangers,

Yawn!
These Celtic fans and their never ending obsession with all things Rangers.
They go on and on and on and on about us being a new club, yet they are on here reading and posting daily.
Their knowledge of the depths of our club is worrying, to the point where I would even consider it stalker-ish. I really don’t know if we should either request a restraining order or host an intervention and get them the help they need.

No new club was formed John, only a new company called RIFC, you are right about one thing though, it is set out quite clearly - if you do the research without green glasses on
