Bit I don't get about this George Peat saying a prolific chairman phoned him to say not to help us. Is he trying to say he didn't listen to that chairman as what did he do to help us? League was extended due to so many fixtures being cancelled during winter not because of us getting to a final. I want him to come out and say what he did do to help us. He obviously can never say who it was that phoned him as that would be liable and he will have no proof of it as it was 10 years ago. Come on George were they wanting us to play 5 games in 6 days? and you managed to convince them it should be 11?

Doesnt matter if its true or false. If you claim something like that then 'sporting integrity' comes into play and if the chairman is still in professional football he would/ should be removed. However if he has no physical proof and its my word vs yours and he can't prove it he will be sued for slander. He can however say what he done for us to help us going into the UEFA final. If he claims someone told him not to help us then tell us what you did do to help us.

There are no crimes of 'slander' or 'libel' in Scots Law. They come under the umbrella of 'defamation of character' and if you accuse someone of something you cannot conclusively prove, you are open to a lawsuit. The basis of this would be if any reasonable person would see the claim as defamatory.

The season was extended. But Celtic refused to allow it to be extended further as they had an imaginary tour of Japan booked which they still haven’t fulfilled.
