With regards to the ticket allocation for semi. Would it not have been a better idea of selling sections first. Both teams get 5,000 sell all those and next allocation is released to the team for there fans to buy another 5,000 and so on. If one team get as far as buying 15,000 and has no more buying then there 5,000 section gets handed to the team that still has fans requesting tickets. Seems simple to me. No arguing between teams just fill your allocation then request for more.

We would snap up 45K in the first couple of days leaving 5K of them. Works for me!

Flintytint

There are over 30,000 Rangers fans on the CCCS so why would we only get 5000 to begin with when the powers that be would be aware that they would be sold straight away and the club would want more?

Wouldn't work, as someone has already stated we would sell our 5,000 way before anyone else would be able too so would end up with 90% of the stadium. Maybe i'm old fashioned but to me Semi finals and Finals should be a even amount of fans from both clubs (where possible) however the last few seasons have changed my mind on this.

Ticket allocation for smaller clubs (not Rangers or Celtic) should be decided using a combination of number of season ticket holders and attendances at home games i. e Rangers/ Celtic get a guaranteed 50% then the other clubs allocation is decided based on what i said previously, remaining tickets go to Rangers/ Celtic and they will easily be sold.

Bindo,
Because any semi in a neutral ground deserves 50/ 50 split. However to stop the sheep moaning you have a standard practice, let's not say 5,000 let's say 15,000 that all must be sold by both sides within a set time. If said side doesn't sell there lot it moves to the other team if they are still looking for more. Remember the semi could be between kilmarknock and cally thistle, no offence to them but they aren't going to fill it.

But usually us of celtic are there with far far bigger fan bases. So to stop the moaning from other teams have a standard practice in place. that's the point of the standard practice we all know the rules. just because we could fill the stadium ourselves doesn't mean dot. But for SFA to start guessing how many tickets teams should get seems pointless just have something in place.

i kinda like that idea, its actually quite smart, like release 5,000 each week before the semi final. which would gives fans something to do when the international break is boring. if you haven't sold 5,000 then the just make what tickets you have left up to 5,000.
