Hi guys just looking for general thoughts and opinions on this. Seen a couple of days ago that a player down south is refusing to wear a poppy and pleading for understanding on the issue . Personally I wear it with pride and think we should remember exactly what has been sacrificed to give us our freedom that we all enjoy . His club is standing by him . If this was a rangers player do you think we should or could have stood by him? Do you think he is right in his stance? Or do you make players wear them as their meant to be an example to all young players girls and boys and in a way society as a whole?

Personally I think they would have to be ignorant to our rangers heritage. Not a bigoted view but you would have to be pretty ignorant to join Rangers and think not wearing it would endear you to our support.

I wouldn't expect the manky mob will worry about wearing one because of theirs either.

Read him Flanders field. If he really feels nothing. God help him. Poppy’s are for the fallen, the boys and girls that went to war not because they always wanted to but because they seen it as there duty. Whether they be British french German American or any nation. It’s a remeberence of those that died. It does not bring glory to war or hatred but to just for that moment remember those that left and never came home. It remembers the friend and foe alike.

We must never forget the sacrifices they made for us.
If you don’t want to wear the poppy you must have some very good reasons as I can only see it as a mark of respect
They gave there all for us
May the lord keep them safe.
Rangers stand for tradition, pride and British Standards.

I can understand why he doesn't want to wear one.
