Another disappointing result last night I just can't get my head around how poor we have been in front of goal, after the early goal I thought what a start we are going to go on and win comfortably thinking the players where going to atone for the sheep game but it's another side wards step instead of moving forward I know Gerrard needs time and I'll support him every step of the way but I think some of the players need dropped as some aren't performing like we need them too. For me tav isn't captain material I don't think he has that drive to push his team mates on to up their game and to battle their way to win.

I agree but the Tav bashing is getting a bit much there are plenty of players not performing, how many assists or goals have Kent, Candeias, Ejaria, Arfield, Coulibaly, Jack got between them. How often have Tav AND Flanagan been done down the side Flanagan is just as bad if not worse as he offers nothing going forward and always gets caught out for pace, Worral certainly doesn't convince me at all, if Forrest were offered 9 mill for him they should have taken it. The fact is we are not good enough and we all have to accept that 3rd or 4th realisticly is where we are going to finish, unless some January signings happen to come in and transform us but I don't see it.

@Jordy, agree with a lot of that but let's not forget that Flanagan is a RIGHT back and is being played out of position constantly.

Slim Jim I take the point that he is on the left and is right footed fair enough but playing on the right won't give him more pace. I suppose I am just saying that there are plenty of underperformers and Tav has at least made some goals and scored goals, albeit penalties. Some players havnt really contributed in creating or scoring, it is what it is I guess, we need more quality.

Again, in defence of Tav, his defending was excellent last night.

Often goes unmentioned, but his defending in general has improved. With his understanding with candieas, the right side is far more effective than the left, moving forward and back.

Whilst very few got pass marks, Tav and halliday were amongst them.

These 2 players are often the whipping boys, whereas a coulibally or arfield, who have gone off form, get it easy.

I don't mind tav as a player his defensive side of his game has improved but still needs a bit of work I just don't think he is captain material.
