just my opinion on this. Goldson and Katic we rock solid for weeks and Katic was also dangerous in the opposition penalty box. So what went wrong with him? I say Gerrard has ruined the guys confidence by Bringing in Worrell when he was dropped for NO APPARENT reason.

had he been playing badly i could understand the change, but the boy had done nothing wrong and we were NOT losing many silly goals back then. I reckon Gerrard had an obligation to give Worrell game time and for that reason, we now have a weaker defence pairing AND a guy who will need a lot of encouragement to get his confidence back.

Totally agree that Katic has been hard done by. Noticeable the defence has not been so solid as we were at the start of the season and the chopping and changing has affected goldson as well. Stick with goldson and Katic.

Not going to question SG strategy because he's the man but do agree with constant Goldson Katic pairing. Maybe I'm old fashioned in outlook but ruining the guys confidence? You make him sound like a 10 year old.

I'm going to agree to disagree, Katic has not been faultless this season. He has played well, but his distribution and positional sense have been variable. He looks like work in progress to me. And Worral has been pretty steady, a no nonsense CB who is very good in the air. Goldson has had a few wobbles too so who knows with McCauley available. A good dilemma to have - who wants Martin and Co back?

Get it together guys Katic was dropped because of injury nothing else and hasn’t regained his form . get it right before skating Stevie. Stevie stuck veteeen rock and hardpkace because Worral and Katic as bad as each other the noo . McAuley should get a run for me.
