Reading the Lee Griffiths is taking time away from football to deal with “ongoing issues”.
I know he’s been a prat sometimes and a thorn in our side but still don’t want to see the lad in trouble or harm.
I’m sure I echo a lot of football fans when I say health comes first and I hope he receive whatever help he needs.

Agreed shenderson. Can’t stand the site of him but I wish him no harm. If he is suffering from mental health issues etc then I wish him all the best in his road to recovery.

Hmm I'm not so sure . Gazza? It's ok for one but not another?

I've never been one to sconse at anyone who has mental health issues or whatever personal problems! No time for leigh griffiths, when he's playing in a celtic jersey against us, but i absolutely wish the guy no harm! I hope he can beat his demons, i truly do and wish him all the best in his rehabilitation! that's when football comes 2nd in these situations!

My mistake 72. He is a prat end of! I still hope he gets through whatever it is he is dealing with.

I'm sure all of the rangers family will hope that Lee G get threw all of his personal issues and comes out the other side in good health physically and mentally.

Gambling issues not mental health. Guy at my work is a celtic shareholder and says this has came to a head as he's been begging money off team mates (thousands at a time) in the dressing rooms. Can't stand him he's an absolute bell end and if he's taking months out then his career at celtic will be as good as done. still hope he soldiers through tho, another case of a footballer with too much time and too much money turning to gambling. far too much money in football nowadays.

Gambling addiction is a serious problem and can seriously affect your mental health. Can’t stand the lad in all fairness but I’d gladly support him and take him to a ga meeting.

Spot on Henderson he’s a prat full stop. I’ve as much sympathy as Scottish football had for gazza.

sorry guys i can’t agree

gambling addiction is a mental health issue. sorry I know folk who are the former and i’ve worked with folk who suffer from the latter and for me they certainly are not 1 and the same

just my personal opinion

i also wld not stand with griffiths in a pub under any circumstances as the depth of hatred he and his fellow players and fans have for us is sickening

of course it was a completely diff story when barton was villified by the press front and back pages and he was chased out of scotland with majority of folk wanting the lad crucified for having a gambling problem until he got a long ban

yet griffiths get sympathy and support from all quarters

some folk have a short memory.

Think things have maybe come to an end for the the thumb after his latest ridiculous comments about the Gers. Don’t wish him any health issues but the guy is a real bell end and hopefully will get help as he definitely needs it🇬🇧.

When another human being is in need of help then there is no time to debate whether he deserves it or not, it is in times like these that the colour of his team or the foolishness that he has commited must be put to one side and help must be given. I really hope this help is given and he makes a full recovery from whatever it is and that he is given the time and space with his family to do so.
I know that I am not alone in wishing him well and know that every football supporter regardless of their team wish him a quick and full recovery.

Trev no 7. Have you ever suffered from either?

I don't think everyone here is being completely honest, I hate him passionately, I literally couldn't care less about him. I will add that I don't think that about every celtic player, in fact there are very few celtic players that have really got up my nose but I have no time for him what so ever, mental health and gambling addiction didn't make home say or do the things he does, just being brutally honest.

Wiping his nose on our flag . flying tri colour at ibrox tying scarfs to goals . goading fans for a fight? Well I’m scared to comment.

Nice too see so many messages of support on here. Huge credit to Stevie G as well for his comments. We all know we’ll be shouting all sorts of abuse at each other on 29th but at the end of the day, it’s only a game. Rivals not enemies.

Everyone feeling sorry for Grffiths did you ever see him play snooker?

20.) 13 Dec 2018
13 Dec 2018 07:23:30
no i haven't james thankfully but i’ve worked with folk on a professional level who have so am entitled to my opinion

they are not the same, trust me

ask yourself this, what was the depth of sympathy and support for ian black and joey barton when their gambling problems came out

were media, authorities and other fans falling over themselves with empathy and understanding for their ‘mental health’ issues?

Gambling leads to mental health issues. My son lost over £50,000 gambling online playing poker and now has nothing and suffers from psychosis and paranoia and is quite unwell. He is now 50 years old and the future doesn't look good for him so I hope that Griffiths does sort himself out and he is still young enough to bounce back. At the end of the day, football is only a game and my son is a Dundee United supporter! On a cheerier note, come on the lads tonight. Let's get a win and set ourselves up for the rest of the month.

you see this is the differnce between us and them.

we wish one of them all the best in dealing with his issues, where they take shots and villinize our ex players with issues

i don't like the kid and yes he is a complete tool but hope he sorts it out as he has young family etc and they didn't ask for their father to have issues.

Trev no7. Well lucky you mate. Also I have never said they are the same but being someone who is a compulsive gambler (nearly 4 years gambling free) I know that it does seriously affect not only your mental health but all aspects of your personal well being.

13 Dec 2018 11:48:23
Irrespective what's allegedly wrong with Griffiths at moment sheer conjecture. Could be piles for all we know. I don't like him like all of us. He's a little ****. Rodgers doesn't help issue masking issue calling problem 'ongoing issues'. But if gambling as mentioned it's self inflicted. Would have been better if Rodgers itemised problem and help being given. Might help others.

He has the full house of drink and drug issues along with a gambling addiction. This has caused him some financial issues as well. Still a bag👍.
