Too much tinkering by SG and not playing a settled team. OK injuries apart, my best XI would be:

McGregor; Flanagan, Goldson, Katic, Barisic; Jack, McCrorie, Dorrans, Murphy; Morelos, Kent

Despite the doom merchants on here, we are only 3 points behind the unwashed, albeit they have a game in hand. So all the other teams are poorer which is why we are 2nd? Rubbish. We've only lost 1 of our last 13 league games so fine margins with a few draws in there that have cost us points. The Europa League run was great too and nobody expected that. Having said all that I agree that if we lose to that lot on Saturday we won't recover enough to catch them but were we ever going to do that this season?

League would be a bonus this season, we need cup final and second, then really go for league next two years.

I do think we miss Murphy as has a bit more quality and I recon he'd have scored more goals than candeias and Middleton combined by now. and this is a problem (goals) as Morelos is being heavily relied upon.

Seeing as how Flanagan has been a LB his entire career what makes you think he'll be better than Tav at RB? Honestly don't think some of you watch any football cause your banging on about Flanagan RB and we already have the best RB in the league.

Alfredo Flanagan is a natural right back . Not sure if you are at the wind up there. Played right back for liverpiol capped for england at right back. definitely not left back until he came to rangers. Ps tavanier awfull at defending. Maybe best in league going forward.

Alfredonumba 1. I think it might be you who doesn't watch any football because Flanagan is a right back and always has been. Criticisms of his performances this season are due to him being played out of position at left back. Tavernier is a liability and far too inconsistent. Sell him in January. Here endeth the lecture.
To others, I agree Arfield worth a place.

Alfredo, Flanagan is a right back and if you think Tavernier is a good defender you should have gone to Specsavers, he can't defend he can't cross and he's never a captain, we need a new right back and a new. Captain possibly Ryan jack.

Tav 6 goals and 8 assists this season but he divides the supporters especially on the defensive side of his game.
What are the options currently at RB?
Tav or Flannigan or do we sign someone in the transfer window?

Everyone is always quick to jump on Tavernier I say he’s the best right back we have at the club that’s the reason he’s playing if Flanagan was as good as being made out to be he wouldn’t be at rangers.

I'll admit he started as a RB. Brendan Rodgers played him LB for Liverpool. Played LB for Bolton last year as well. He's not had a game at RB in years. Tavernier could be a RB for a top 6/ 7 English side. There's a reason the Magic Hat, Murty, Pedro and now Gerrard all have him as a first pick.
