Just watched Stevie G's latest press conference which he handled as well as he usually does. What concerns me was when he was asked about Pena. Stevie made it clear he is not training with the squad and that he doesn't want him and that he was unaware of any moves to get rid. I appreciate Stevie can be cute with the media when he wants but surely more than a shrug of the shoulders is required. Herrera seems to have found a bit of form in Mexico so maybe we can offload him. Maybe Pena is in a such a bad state he can't even train otherwise shouldn't we get him in to train with the youngsters (or on his own if he's seen as a bad example) so he can get fit and playing for somebody (anybody! ) else in the hope we can get shut. I know that was tried and failed disastrously in Mexico but surely we've got to do something. As it is he's an enormous waste of money and will continue to be for the next 18 months. Looks like we want to pretend he doesn't exist which is a criminal waste of £1.8 million (his estimated wages to the end of his contract) . I know people would probably much rather concentrate on the players that are doing a job for us but we all know that money could be much better spent elsewhere in the club. What do others think?

Hello ed Sent a reply to Dunfermline Loyal about Herrera accepting that I got his contract end date wrong but have checked and frustrated blue is right so hopefully he'll carry on doing well at Necaxa and they 'll buy him. If gees a dodo that is right about Pena maybe there's nothing can be done about him right now.

According to the record Herrera is contracted to 2021. They done a story the other day about all the players contracts.
