Folks shoot me down in flames if you want. I think the Celtic game has papered over the cracks. Signing Davis and Defoe is a huge mistake IMO. Why are we signings players at that age who demand huge wages? We changed our formation to suit these 2 guys who haven't played 90 mins for months but we start them against a team 3rd in the league. Last night was a huge game and both of these guys aren't match fit for a start. We haven't even sorted out our back line yet which is priority. Worral and McCauley are both terrible. We are playing a midfielder at left back (not Halliday's biggest fan but he's done well) when we have 2 very good left backs in our squad. Tav is never captain material and is not a right back. Again we have a decent right back in Flannagin, who kept getting played out of position. I think Arfeild is a great signing but the problem is keeping him fit. On to Jack. Having shown glimpses of what he can do has been a dissapointing signing. If it wasn't for El buffalo or Shagger we would be f**ked. Many young players did we have in that team last night? 2. Worrall and Kent. 2 guys on loan. Kent is a great player and we must try and sign the boy. Lafferty is been terrible. Yes you can say he's not had a run of games, but when was the last time he scored? . The game last night was crying for a formation change but AGAIN SG got caught in the headlights and got out witted by Stevie Clark. The only positive under Gerrard was a run in Europe but at the final hurdle we couldn't beat a very poor Rapid team. If we don't finish a close second I think SG won't last long as the Ranger manager. Like to know other bears thoughts.

As2974, I've read your post twice and to be honest, i agree 100%. We don't want to hear it and want to be positive about our team. You have stated the facts whether we like it or not and i respect that. A Rangets team like that should be winning comfortable. There will be fans defending Gerrard and i get that but what improvements have we made? Apologies for being negative guys but sitting at a cold Rugby Park last night, watching that pish has really pissed me off.

I didn't go mate but there was no back up plan from SG. I couldn't believe he didn't change things. He lacks the tactical awareness we need. I can't believe we are not giving wallace a game. Play him at CB at least! I want SG do well but he's not got it at the momemnt to be our manager. Said it all along SC would have been less of a risk.

Sorry not got me . none of you were saying that after we hammered the smellies. that’s football . we have no god given right to win games . Even the great teams lose sometimes . Get a grip Kilmarnock are no mugs . For the first quarter we were all over them . Ok we imploded . it happens but you guys are so fickle . One game up . we are going for title . one game down its sack the board . manager. and players . Sorry guys but the reality is its s sad reflection of our west of Scotland mentality . yes mental. Have some faith for gods sake and support the team. that’s if you are supporters and not trolls.

very good and honest post about the team and the way things are going so far.
It is not just the performance of the other night that a lot of fans are getting annoyed at its all the poor performances before that 1 good game against Celtic doesn't make up for the other poor games and a lack of plan b from gerrard is frustrating changes need be made eirler in games if things not working out.

Mols you’re spot on 👍🏼

We are a work in progress, whether people like it or not.

If fans don’t realise this (i think most do however), managers will be sacked and we start from scratch yet again, if that happens then there will be no stopping 10 in a row.

A work in progress is signing and playing young talent not 34, 36 or 39 year olds. We've been down this road before and look that that ended. So totally disagree with your post sorry.

I See you've listed 3 older players there? Are you trying to say we've not signed younger players? Because that's just not true.

We were calling out for expierence in the first half of the season and that's what has been brought in.

These players that have been brought in haven’t played all season. It was painfully obvious neither Davis or Defoe were match fit and both struggled badly. McAuley is nearly 40 why are we wasting time with a guy who clearly can’t run? Worrall is awful and won’t be there next season. It would be better to send him back to Forrest and get someone like Halkett a young player out of contract at the end of the season.

Mols, you are part of the rot that has set in over the past almost a decade. Calling any fan who criticizes the team, the board or the company or who gives an opinion you don't agree with a troll makes you seem like the troll. Are you a Celtic fan in disguise? It looks that way as you seem to be happy with the way the current situation. Don't you want things to get better on the pitch? There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism.

Arthur, they won’t stay that way forever, they will get fit. Defoe’s already scored a goal and he’s not even fit?

I agree with McAuley he’s done, but I think he was only brought in as extra cover, hence the one year deal. It made sense at the time, low cost etc.

We have a mix of youth and experience now, need to give the new recruits time to bed in surely you must agree? Also I think playing Davis was an error from Gerrard. Defoe was always starting but probably should have stuck with Mcrorie in midfield.
