Great move by Tav to insist Defoe takes the final penalty. To be honest it was the move of a genuine leader and club captan, a role some on here (including myself) have in the past questioned his capability to perform. Well done Tav!

I think the bigger picture is that Tav had the mental capacity to see that Defoe is trying to get in about it and there were flashes of what he's been doing all of his career. Giving him the chance to get a goal might give him an extra half yard and some confidence, the example is after he scored the penalty he scampered through in typical Defoe style then waited for Kent, slipped Kent in and he took it really well.
I would like to see Defoe get a few, he has been unlucky a few times so good to see him get one.

It was also good to see him give Morelos a blast when he spat the dummy out.

Good player with ball at his feet use to go around in circles a lot and never lift his head up not cut up mentally up here.
