I think there has been a fair bit of overreaction on here today . Yes we didn't play great, yes we carried a little luck but at the end of the day we're still alive and fighting . I for one am buzzing for the replay at Ibrox and hope for a far better performance in a far better pitch and hopefully we can see a football match rather than a battle . The only thing I would say about today is I thought we were crying out for the battling qualities of young Mccrorie and felt that is a change we should have made fairly early in precedings, I just felt we never quite won the battle in the middle of the park to allow us to play our football.

good post cambiger

we didn’t play well and went a goal down away to one of our main rivals but dug in 2nd half and got a replay

i personally thought the sheep bullied us a bit and mcrorie wld prob have given us a bit more dig but who knows

replay will hopefully be a diff game and if we match them better in the battle our superior football shd win.

It's frustrating how the team is so inconsistent. We can blow teams away one game and struggle the next. I know Aberdeen is always a battle for us but they are not a good team. Anyway still glad to be in the hat for next round and just hope everything clicks for us a week on tues.

Ironically the one consistent the inconsistencies we suffer
If we could have harnessed the celtic performance We would be so much closer to the title it frustrates the life out of me.

Cambiger, you say over reaction in one breathe and then in the next you say you hope for a much better performance. You then go on to say you hope for a football match and not a battle on a better pitch. My god man, 1. There was nothing wrong with the pitch, 2. We have won games at pittodrie by battling for decades. The players must have a better mentallity that's why we are 8 points behind and why we struggle against the likes of aberdeen, hibs etc. As I said its a battle at fir park, easter road, pittodrie, tynecastle, celtic park and has been for decades. Don't make me laugh👍.

Coldo, my good man, if you read my post I think I mention that we lost the battle and I would hope for better in a replay . I’m not actually sure what you are objecting to or if it’s objecting for objecting’s sake . Just because we have in the past and will in the future battle up and down the country is absolutely irrelevant to my initial point that a draw away from home to one of our closest rivals should not provoke this mass histeria and vilification of players who up until they point have had a very good few weeks . All players have off days and as a team yesterday was not one of our best but at the end of day a replay is far from the end of the world .

No cambiger you said you hope to see a football match and not a battle, we have to be up for a battle when we go to these places otherwise we will never win titles👍. You then said that the pitch wasn't great which is nonsense. We have had too many off days when playing aberdeen👍.

My main point was about the over reaction to the performance/ result . I know we didn’t win the battle yeasterday but for me we are still a work in progress and managing to come away with a replay given these circumstances is not the end of the world . Ps pitch was a mess 😜.

The replay is not the end of the world, but how many times are we going to collapse when there is a battle. If that had been the league we would be well out of it. Too many times we lose heart and fight. If we want to win titles we need to have the fight in us. that's the problem. Its a sad day when fans are blaming the pitch or the physical toughness of the other team as an excuse for us not winning. 👍.

The pitch was terrible. SG said himself that it hadn't been cut or rolled. There was also a gale blowing. You could clearly see this on the tv too.

This is a leveller. The game was a battle and we had to roll the sleeves up to get something from it. Pretty it wasn't.

Coldo it wasn’t a league game so for me that’s a mute point . It is a cup tie where if you go away and draw you are rewarded for this with a tie in front of your own fans . While I agree we never won the battle, on that dreadful surface, I don’t think we shyed away from it either . It woulda been easy after going behind early to just give up . We did not do this and battled hard to ensure our season is not completely over . I just wish some fans sometimes would look at bigger picture and realise where we are in the process . It doesn’t all have to be end of the world stuff after every slightly below par performance.

So we are blaming the pitch, the weather and aberdeen being a bit rough for us being pi$h. Got it👍.
